6 NEXT GEN COOLING SOLUTIONS AIR HANDLERS AND PACKAGED DX Nortek Air Solutions offers both custom and packaged air handlers optimized for the demanding environments of data centers. For more than 30 years our custom and packaged air handling systems have set the bar for innovation, custom flexibility and quality in mission critical facilities. Just as no two data centers are the same, each air handling system is designed to meet specific efficiency, filtration, air flow capacity and unit configuration requirements. Cooling Solutions Chilled Water (CW) Direct Expansion (DX) FANWALL TECHNOLOGY Air Side Economizer Free Cooling AIR HANDLING UNIT TYPE Custom Packaged Water Side Economizer Direct Evaporative Cooling Indirect Evaporative Cooling IDEC with Free Cooling Modules PERIMETER, IN-ROW & CEILING Our computer room air handlers take advantage of air or water-side economizers or adiabatic cooling options to optimize efficiency. These units are available in larger air flow volumes of 50kw CFM and higher. For N+1 redundancy these units are available with our patented FANWALL TECHNOLOGY which provides the even airflow distribution required for data center and cleanroom environments. Other benefits include a compact footprint, redundancy, and easy serviceability. Cooling Solutions Chilled Water (CW) Direct Expansion (DX) Pumped Refrigerant FANWALL TECHNOLOGY Free Cooling Air Side Economizer Perimeter In-Row Ceiling Water Side Economizer 6
7 REAR DOOR HEAT EXCHANGERS & IT PODS Nortek Air Solutions cooling distribution units (CDU) provide close controlled water cooling for up to 24 rear door heat exchangers delivering 260kW of cooling in less than a 1m². It includes unique dew point monitoring and control. Our rear door heat exchangers provide close coupled heat removal directly from individual racks from 4 to 50kW. The range includes passive doors and active doors for every rack. These units are capable of up to 100% heat rejection and allow full access to the rear of the equipment. Rear Door Cooling Solutions Heat Exchanger IT Condensing Pod Units Chilled Water (CW) Direct Expansion (DX) Pumped Refrigerant FANWALL TECHNOLOGY Free Cooling Air Side Economizer Water Side Economizer Direct Evaporative Cooling Indirect Evaporative Cooling 7
8 NEXT GEN COOLING SOLUTIONS MODULAR DATA CENTERS These all-inclusive modules incorporate a cooling system, server racks, lighting and power wiring. With process air cooling of up to 20kW per rack, this high density solution uses in-row and/or rear door cooling. This system provides the ultimate in scalability and compact configuration to deploy the module where and when you need it. Once these all-inclusive modules arrive on the jobsite, they can be rapidly deployed to meet fast track schedules. Cooling Solutions Chilled Water (CW) Direct Expansion (DX) Pumped Refrigerant FANWALL TECHNOLOGY Air Side Economizer Free Cooling Water Side Economizer Direct Evaporative Cooling Indirect Evaporative Cooling IDEC with Free Cooling Modules Modular Data Center WE UNDERSTAND MISSION-CRITICAL DATA CENTER APPLICATIONS QUIET AND EFFICIENT A new enterprise data center for Renaissance Technologies in New York used an Ultraline packaged system with FANWALL TECHNOLOGY to meet both low sound and high efficiency requirements. WORLD S FIRST CARBON NEUTRAL DATA CENTER Verne Global s co-location data center in Keflavik, Iceland uses a unique fresh air free cooling system based around CTF model perimeter units to provide year-round precision control with no mechanical cooling and no chillers. 8
9 CHILLERS, CHILLER PLANTS & CONDENSING UNITS Our ability to meet special requirements an impossibly small or awkward footprint, virtually no sound emitted from the unit, super high efficiency plus our quality construction are hallmarks of our chiller systems.
