The majority of our experience has been gained in a close working partnership with British Telecom and part of their 21st Century Network Upgrade (21CN). This experience has enabled us to offer design and build solutions to many clients as well as continuing our relationship with BT. GENERATOR BT Derby Computer Centre Refurbishment on live data centre Removal of existing LV Switchgear, UPS and Generator PLC system and replace with Static Transfer Switches plus associated UPS Output Panel extensions and BMS modifications and general construction works. January July ,400, RAF Croughton Full Data Centre with M&E Building 30 Full replacement of all M&E to a live data centre. Scaffold decking was installed at high level to protect the data centre and temporary cooling utilised to maintain critical operation throughout the refurbishment. 4 LV SWITCH ROOM BT Bletchley Refurbishment of live Data Centre with M&E Removal and replacement of existing chiller / condensers inclusive of new HVAC panel, sub mains cabling, switchboard modifications, BMS, small power, civil engineering and general construction works. March 2012 June , BT Harmondsworth Computer Centre Refurbishment of live Data Centre with mechanical PLANT ROOM Removal of R22 refrigerant in 11 No CRAC units in critical live data centre. We introduced a new ISCEON MO99, R22 refrigerant replacement to BT and conducted the first live trails of MO99 in this application in Europe. Working closely with DuPont, the refrigerant manufacturers, the equipment was fully tested before and after the conversion and the results showed conclusive proof of a successful conversion. Once satisfied BT released 10 No CRAC systems all completed in a 3 week window without any downtime of the data centre. The trial was showcased at the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Show at the Birmingham NEC (March 2012) and will be used as a test case to encourage use throughout the industry. 5 PLANT ROOM BT Derby Computer Centre Refurbishment of live Data Centre with mechanical Removal and replacement of 3 No Denco CRAC units inclusive of modifications to BMS, Vesda and additional free cooling pipework to Computer Hall 5. 6 PLANT ROOM Confidential Client, Great Yarmouth Design, installation and commissioning of mechanical Installation and commissioning of 3 No 85kW Airedale Free Cool Chillers to serve the APC InRow Rack Cooling Solution, with Airedale Down Flow units securing the UPS room, specialist underfloor leak detection and fault alarm panel interface system. During load test at 11DC ambient system achieved, a PUE of 1.2 based (241kW room load, 45kW energy input). December - February , British Energy Hinkley B Nuclear Power Station ROOF ROOM Refurbishment of live Data Centre with mechanical Strip out and replacement of 2 No 100kW chillers serving Data suite. Data suite remained operational at all times and chilled water circuits were modified whilst maintaining water flow. Each chiller was replaced individually, tested and commissioned before removal of the other. Equipment was configured into run and standby. May July ,000.00

7 BT St Albans Computer Centre Refurbishment of live Data Centre with M&E Installation of 2 No new Hitachi chiller units, condensers, HVAC panels, associated BMS and new Reverse Osmosis installation to existing AHU s and general construction works. February May , Co-operative Bank, Salford Installation and commissioning of mechanical Installation and commissioning of 4 No Airedale 120kW CRAC units to data suite serving cold aisle containment and hot aisle return through extended plenums. Installation and commissioning of fire suppression extract ventilation system with BMS interface. 8 UPS ROOM EMIS, Leeds Installation and commissioning of mechanical Supply and installation of Eaton Williams rear door rack cooling systems to high density blade server cabinets. The specialist cooling systems used free cooling chilled water to provide temperature neutrality across the servers and provide a low energy cooling solution to High Density 30kW Racks. The energy savings achieved from these systems was 39% less than a traditional chilled water system with pay backs of the additional costs achieved within 8 months.
