4 MaaS360.cm Overview Businesses and emplyees are using mbile devices in ways nt envisined befre. Persnal device wnership and usage is grwing rapidly. MaaS360 fr Mbile Devices is a clud-based multi-tenant platfrm that prvides enhanced management f yur ios and Andrid devices. Yu can register fr a 30 day trial f the MaaS360 Mbile Device Management slutin via the MaaS360 website at After registering, a success message will appear. Click the green buttn t cntinue. The Quick Start screens will walk yu thrugh setting up yur accunt and enrlling devices. Nte: The accunt yu create as part f yur trial will cntinue int Prductin if yu purchase MaaS360. The devices yu enrll as part f yur trial will nt need t be enrlled again. Yu will receive a welcme cntaining imprtant infrmatin abut yur trial. Be sure t keep this infrmatin, in case yu need supprt later. Step 1: Select Platfrms MaaS360 is autmatically cnfigured t supprt Andrid, Windws Phne and BlackBerry devices. If these are the nly devices yu will be using, click Start withut ios t mve t the next step, Add Devices. If yu will be using ios devices, Apple requires yu t have an Apple Push Ntificatin service (APNs) certificate. MaaS360 will walk yu thrugh the prcess f btaining this certificate: 1. Click Setup ios Nw. The Safari, Chrme and Firefx web brwsers are recmmended fr this prcess. 2. Enter a crprate AppleID. Yu must use the same AppleID every year when renewing yur APNs certificate. If yu dn t have an AppleID, hver ver Create ID? and click Apple Website. This will take yu t a page where yu can create a crprate AppleID. Enter the AppleID and click Next. 4

5 MaaS360.cm Nte: We strngly recmmend that this AppleID belng t yur cmpany and nt an individual. The AppleID yu use t set up yur devices is the same ne yu will need t renew yur certificate each year. If yu use a persnal AppleID and the persn leaves yur cmpany, yu will need t create a new AppleID at renewal time and re-enrll all f yur ios devices using it. 3. The Certificate Signing Request (CSR) will be generated autmatically. This prcess can take up t 5 minutes. Please remain n this page r yu will have t red the previus steps. 4. The CSR will be ed t the specified accunt. Yu can als click the dwnlad link t uplad it right away. 5. After clicking the dwnlad link, yu will be able t save the file. Saving it will put it in yur Dwnlads flder by default. 5

6 MaaS360.cm 6. Enter the AppleID yu used in Step 2 and the passwrd, and then click Sign in. T skip the steps necessary t generate a PEM file, click Next. Cntinue with Step # Click the green Create a Certificate buttn. 6

7 MaaS360.cm 8. Check the bx next t I have read and agree t these terms and cnditins and click Accept. 9. Nw yu need t find the file s yu can uplad it. Click Brwse. 10. Find the CSR.txt file in yur Dwnlads flder. Click Open. 7

8 MaaS360.cm 11. When the crrect file is shw in the field, click Uplad. 12. Click Dwnlad t dwnlad the PEM file. Yu will als receive this in just like the CSR.txt file, but yu will be using it in the very next step. 8

9 MaaS360.cm 13. Click OK t save the PEM t yur Dwnlads flder. 14. Yu will receive a cnfirmatin message. Click Next. 9

10 MaaS360.cm 15. Nw yu have t uplad the certificate t MaaS360. Click Brwse. 16. Find the file MDM_Fiberlink_Cmmunicatins.pem in yur Dwnlads flder. Click Open. 17. Enter a passwrd. This passwrd has n minimum security requirement. T help yu remember the passwrd, yu may want t make it the same as yur AppleID passwrd. After entering it in the Create Certificate Passwrd and Cnfirm Passwrd fields, click Uplad. 10

11 MaaS360.cm 18. The APNs certificate has been created. Click Clse. Step 2: Add Devices 19. MaaS360 will autmatically take yu t the next step, adding a device. Click the secnd tab t begin enrlling devices in MaaS Infrmatin frm yur enrllment will be autmatically entered in the Username, Address and Phne Number fields, but yu can verride it. Review the Dmain field; it is used fr and wireless set up, and mre. 2. Click Send Request. MaaS360 will send an enrllment request t the specified device. 11

12 MaaS360.cm Step 3: Play When the end user gets the enrllment request, they will be directed t dwnlad the MaaS360 app. With just a few taps, they will install the app and the device will begin t send data t MaaS360. Nw yu can review infrmatin abut the enrlled device, take actins like Lck, Lcate r Distribute App and mre. When yu are finished, click Clse Quick Start t access the MaaS360 Hme page. 12

13 MaaS360.cm Hme Page The menu bar gives yu access t different parts f MaaS360. Muse ver ne f the tabs t display a menu, and then click n the item yu want. Click the icn t return t the Hme page. Start typing in the Search field and MaaS360 will begin displaying items that match the text, including devices, users, apps, and dcuments. Different links appear under the item, depending n what the item is. Fr example, clicking the Lcate link under a device will display it n a map, while clicking the Distribute link under an app will allw yu t distribute it. My Alert Center draws yur attentin t imprtant details abut yur envirnment. Blue alerts are infrmatin nly, while red alerts indicate a prblem and green nes mean that the situatin des nt need yur attentin. Yu can create and custmize these alerts quickly and easily. MaaS360 displays a snapsht f yur envirnment at the tp f the screen. The numbers are links t the mst cmmnly used screens in MaaS360, and yu can click t add a device, user, app r dcument. My Activity Feed shws yu what has been happening in MaaS360. Yu can filter t see specific types f activities, and click n an item t see details. Cmpliance events are highlighted. 13

14 MaaS360.cm Security Plicies Plicies allw yu t enfrce yur cmpany s security requirements n mbile devices. Muse ver the Security tab at the tp f the screen and click Plicies. Default plicies are included with MaaS360, which yu can use as a basis t create custm nes. Click the tabs n the left side f the screen t see all the chices. When yu have finished, save and publish it. Yur plicy cannt be deplyed t a device until it has been published. 14

15 MaaS360.cm Advanced Search The Advanced Search allws yu t perfrm basic and advanced searches fr devices. Select Devices > Advanced Search. Search fr Last Reprted With Device Type(s) Define Search Cnditins Specify if yu want t search fr active devices, inactive devices r all devices. Specify the time perid in which the devices last cntacted MaaS360. The ptins listed here will vary depending n what yu have purchased. Specify the device types yu want t include in the search. Specify the categry, attribute and value being searched fr. Fr example, t see all the devices that can supprt remte wipe, enter the fllwing: Apply Specify any Blean peratrs that shuld be used t handle multiple search cnditins. Enter the additinal criteria in the text bx. Click t add a rw, and click t remve ne. Click Search t view results matching the selected criteria. The results will appear in the lwer half f the screen. Yur searches can be used fr different purpses: The alerts n the Hme page are based n these searches Yu can use these searches t define grups Yu can custmize the clumns that appear in the results sectin 15

16 MaaS360.cm Inventry Select Devices > Inventry t see the Device Inventry screen, r click the Devices link n the Hme page. The Device Inventry lists yur devices. Yu can use the filter t find specific devices: Click the Reset buttn t remve the filter and see the cmplete list again. Yu can change the clumns that are listed by: 1. Click n the dwn arrw fr a clumn heading 2. Select Clumns, and then check the clumns yu want t include. 16

17 MaaS360.cm At the tp right-hand crner f the screen are additinal buttns: Device Views Click t refresh the infrmatin. Click Save Clumn Preferences t preserve the changes yu made t the clumns. Click G t Advanced Search t enter advanced search criteria. Click Add Device t send an enrllment request t a device. The first device view is the Summary screen. Click t refresh the infrmatin. Additinal screens are available by clicking the pull-dwn menu. Different screens may be listed depending n the device. 17

18 MaaS360.cm Summary: Basic infrmatin abut the device, including netwrk and cmpliance infrmatin. Hardware Inventry: Detailed hardware and strage infrmatin abut the device. Click Edit t update custm attribute infrmatin. Operating System: The OS, OS versin, kernel versin, API level and mre. Netwrk Infrmatin: Detailed infrmatin abut the cellular netwrk, Wi-Fi netwrk and mre. Lcatin Infrmatin: A map shwing the last knwn lcatin f the device. Security & Cmpliance: Detailed infrmatin abut passwrds, encryptin, the plicy, data syncing, and mre. Sftware Installed: The apps n the device, including the versin, size and type. Mdules (appears nly if the Clud Extender is installed fr use with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server): The mdules n the device, including the versin and size. Service Bks (appears nly if the Clud Extender is installed fr use with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server): The service bks n the device, including the service ID and cntent ID. Running Services: The services n the device, including the app ID, memry used, and running time. App Distributins: The apps that have been distributed t the device by MaaS360; including when they were deplyed and which nes have been installed. Installed Services: Infrmatin abut the MaaS360 app that is running n the device. Change Histry: Infrmatin abut changes made t the accunt. Actin Histry: Lists the actins perfrmed n the device. Actins Yu can perfrm actins n the device frm the Device View. Nte: The Actins that appear depend n a number f factrs, including the device type and hw it is being managed, and if the Clud Extender is installed fr ActiveSync ptins, etc. Refer t Appendix A fr details. 18

19 MaaS360.cm Refresh Device Infrmatin: Retrieves the mst recent data frm the mbile device Last Knwn Lcatin: Lcates the mbile device Send Message: Sends a message t it Buzz Device: Sends an alert tne t help lcate it in the immediate area Lck Device: Sends a cmmand that will lck it Reset Device Passcde: Clears the current passcde Selective Wipe: Deletes the Wi-Fi prfile, Exchange ActiveSync prfiles, and Web shrtcuts cnfigured n the device via MaaS360 plicy. It can als remve apps and dcuments, if the apprpriate ptins were selected when they were laded int the App Catalg and Cntent Library, respectively Wipe Device: Erases all data n the device and resets it t the riginal factry settings. Fr Andrid 2.2, the Wipe Device actin will reset nly the phne memry. Hwever, in Andrid 2.3, it will reset bth the phne memry and the SD card Change ios/andrid Plicy: Allws yu t change the plicy in frce n the device Change Plan: Allws yu t change the Mbile Expense Management plan Distribute App: Distribute an app t the device Remve Cntrl: Allws yu t unregister the device frm MaaS360, and MaaS360 cannt manage it anymre. The first part f the prcess is a selective wipe f the device Hide Device Recrd: Marks a device as inactive in MaaS360 reprting, but it des nt remve cntrl n the device. 21 MaaS360.cm Applicatins The App Catalg The app management features f MaaS360 are accessed frm the Apps tab. MaaS360 allws yu t deply apps t yur users quickly and easily. Each app must be laded int the MaaS360 App Catalg befre it can be distributed. T access the App Catalg, muse ver Apps and click Catalg. The App Catalg lists yur apps and prvides basic infrmatin abut them. Yu can srt and filter yur apps by clicking n the clumn headings. At the bttm f the screen yu can see hw much strage yu are using, and hw much is available. There are links under each app yu can use t take actin. View Click the View link t see detailed infrmatin abut the app. 21

Yu can click the X t cancel the specified distributin. Specify if the app will be available t all users r a specific grup, even if yu d nt plan t distribute the app t them right away. 3. Begin entering the name f the app. MaaS360 will present yu with chices as yu type. 24

31 MaaS360.cm Dcuments Cntent Library The Dcument Management features f MaaS360 are accessed frm the Dcs tab. MaaS360 allws yu t distribute dcuments and files t yur users quickly and easily. Each dcument must be laded int the MaaS360 Cntent Library befre it can be distributed. T access the Cntent Library, muse ver Dcs and click Cntent Library. The Cntent Library lists yur files and prvides basic infrmatin abut them. Click the highlighted number under Dwnlads t see the devices that have dwnladed the file.
