1 North Mason Eagles # 4226 PO Box NE Alder Creek Rd Belfair, WA Worthy President s Message Hello Brothers and Sisters First of all I want to thank John Kyes, Jim Wilson and Tweed Volz for all their work on the Flag Pole Fund. As of October 18th we are over half way to our goal for the fund. Our Seahawk Sundays have been a great success. Our membership is doing all right. We are at 45% of our quota for the year. I would like to see 150% of quota by May 1st, We can reach this goal if each member signs up at least one new member.(actually that is 1000% of quota and would double our membership, but we can live with that). The next two months, November and December, are the big push to help our special families. Open up your hearts and wallets to support our community. Remember November 11th will be our Veteran s Day Service and potluck. November 7th is the big Veterans Day Parade in Auburn, Wa. The Auburn Eagles will have a 40 ft. trailer to ride on in the parade. This is one of the larger Veterans Day parades in the country so let all of us be a part of it and join Auburn on Nov 7th. November 26th is our Thanksgiving Dinner. It is open to all. Come and help with the dinner. There will be a sign up sheet for donations of food and help. Dinner is free to members and $ 3.00 for quests. I would like to thank each you for your support of the dinners and to the club. I would like to thank you for giving your support to the Madam President and myself. A big thank you and happy holidays! Acie Maxwell Worthy President Congratulations to the Auxiliary for getting 150% of quota for membership this year. Keep up the good work. Madam President s Message Dear Brothers and Sisters The year is really flying by fast. Thanksgiving is upon us, soon Christmas and with a blink of an eye it is the New Year. Take some time to think about the great year you have had and while doing so think about our special families. Over the next two months you will see the auxiliary preparing food baskets, a giving tree and more food baskets. If each of you could bring in something from your food cupboard to help us make baskets for our special families, it would make their year as wonderful as ours has been. Every Thanksgiving the club provides the Turkeys, gravy and potatoes for a huge celebration dinner. The rest of the fixings are all pot luck. Bring your favorite dish and come celebrate Thanksgiving at the club with your extended family. Hope to see you there. Come and join us for the Christmas Auction. If you have some thing you would like to donate, please see Pat Maxwell. All proceeds of this event go to our Special Family fund. See the flyer in this newsletter. Thank you to all aerie and auxiliary members for helping in the kitchen. We have had some wonderful meals coming out of there. If you like to cook or help in the kitchen please come and have some fun with any of the following: soups and sandwiches, Taco dinners and even breakfasts. Please, if you have been in the kitchen and helped with these meals, give yourself a pat on the back, you deserve it. Thank you to Jim Wilson and those behind the scenes for hooking us up to some high tech reader board information. Love the idea and love the concept, defiantly an eye catcher. Hope to see you at the Veterans Day Celebration. Have a happy and safe holiday, Madam President, Diane Kyes

2 We have an electrician and the permits are in so we can start work on the new power for the RV parking. Thank all of you who helped with the October working party. The over head in the hall was completely dusted and cleaned the kitchen. Thank you to the two auxiliary members who did a great job in cleaning the kitchen. See you Saturday, November 9:00 AM for our next working party. Thank you for all your help. James Sampson (360) BUILDING THE NEST OCTOBER CRIBBAGE WINNERS SPECIAL FAMILIES & THE HOLIDAYS Wow the holidays are here. We have 5 families this year. Our Thanksgiving food list will be up November 1st. Please sign up to donate some food for our basket. All food will need to be in by Friday, November 20th. Our Christmas Food list and the Giving Tree will be up by Dec 1st. Please take a tag from the tree, purchase the gift and return under the tree with the tag by Sunday, Dec 20th. This will help us give these families a great Holiday this year. Thank you all.
