Last year we - had nice weather and you know, I talked to a - friend who talked to another friend and we will - have good weather again this year. It is the 60th April 2015 Spring has Sprung! Is your Thunderbird Ready? This was certainly one winter for the record books. Old Man Winter definitely put up a fight before blowing out of here. Good thing because I was ready to buy snow tires for the Thunderbird as it and I were in need of a good cruise! So, hopefully you have your Thunderbird ready for an active season. The Bethlehem Area Vo- Tech School Car Show is Saturday, April 18th. This is the first show on the 2015 Schedule of Planned Activities for the Club. May 16th is the Jordan United Church of Christ Car Show, so please come out for it. Remember my challenge, For every Thunderbird that comes to the show, I will pay the donation fee of $2.00 our cars! Who knows, maybe Ford will realize there is still a demand for the car and bring it back, hopefully at a more reasonable price than the Retro Birds were. lisle, June 5th through 7th. ITC promises this to be H U G E, so come out and participate! I will be bringing out the grille and music at this years event. Plus we promise to vary the lunch menu a little bit. We are going to have Sausage and Peppers, the traditional Hot Dog and Hamburgers and if we can manage it, Pulled Pork. If you feel like bringing a dish, by all means, please do! Deserts too are very, very welcomed! Also, Saturday, June 13th is our sister club, The DERBIRD Car Show, in Pompton Plains, NJ. This show is always great and the NJTA does a fantastic job with this show. 2 Page 2 Lehigh Valley Thunderbird Club ITC Convention Update - As most know by now, Our Club will be hosting the 2016 ITC Convention. The location will be Bethlehem and we have locked in the Best Western Lehigh Valley Hotel and Conference Center for the - - Convention Hotel. Our committee members negotiated a very good rate that includes a hot breakfast. For those that attended the 2007 ITC Convention, you know we had a very good time, filled with - fun activities. The 2016 Convention is shaping up even better, with some surprises planned. More to - come as we lock in the various events. - - Nazareth Day is quickly approaching. The flyer is in this newsletter. We need your help in the form of securing donations and also in donating gift baskets for the auction. The suggested dollar amount not exceed is $ If we can get 30 to 40 baskets, we will be able to make a nice donation to the food bank and an additional charity, to be determined. Remember last year we donated to the food bank and the Lehigh Valley Pediatric Cancer Center. So pleas help out and if you have suggestions on where to donate to, please let the Board know!
