Fllwing IHE standards, any imaging setup can easily be cupled t the clud. Image data is cpied ver and held fr viewing/reprting in an independently managed, shrt-term nline cache. The nde that s required t secure the cnnectin between a Trust and the clud is sftware nly, easily dwnladed and installed - greatly facilitating netwrk develpment by eliminating setup csts and lead time. Image transfer and study distributin can be setup t run autmatically s that studies are available nline under 5 minutes f the scan being acquired. An authenticated user can view and reprt assigned wrk anywhere with a 2Mbps cnnectin available, withut installing sftware clients r dwnlading patient data. St. Barthlmew's Prblem: Cncern t prvide accessibility f 24/7 n-call neur-radilgy services fr MRI.

Management rules, like wrklist, ensure crrect patient viewed nly by relevant cnsultant. Impact: Althugh Bart's was nw able t easily supprt the service, neur-radilgists quickly cnnected t their ther practices as well, particularly imaging centres thrughut Harley Street. In ding s they gained the benefit f ne nline access pint t all f their wrk, all f the tls they need t interpret and autmated return f reprts. The Ryal Lndn Prblem: Strng need t imprve access t strke studies t reduce time t clinical decisin. Slutin: Whipps Crss and Bart's & The Ryal Lndn replaced their disjinted access methds fr a cnslidated nline wrklist. 3Dnet Gateway installed and cnfigured with PACS at St. Barthlmew's and The Ryal Lndn. Autmated rule setup n PACS t push any studies cntaining DICOM tags "CT" and "Head" t a single flder in the clud. All n-call neurlgist are able t access this flder when the lg in despite the presence f nly ne n-call neurlgist n rta per day. Impact: Greatly imprved clinical lead time thrugh autmating acquisitin and distributin. Cnsultants have mre pwerful functinality than befre t aid in clinical investigatin. Overall Neurlgy cases are tday sent t the clud frm Whipps Crss, St. Barthlmew's and The Ryal Lndn t supprt a number f emergency and ut-f-hurs services. The service is expanding t Newham and ther Trusts in the netwrk in rder t prvide reliable access t time critical infrmatin and a cnsistent methd f wrking acrss all sites. Imprved clinical decisin supprt has resulted in increasing numbers f successfully treated patients, with much less time.
