2 TECHNICAL FEATURE DESCRIPTION This is a basic technical feature descriptin f the audriga and grupware migratin service. The service is accessible at resp. This dcument cntains descriptins f a basic feature set. It is cmplemented by mre detailed feature descriptin dcuments available n ur website Technical feature descriptin f the audriga migratin service fr IMAP and POP3 Technical feature descriptin f the audriga and grupware migratin service fr MS Exchange Technical feature descriptin f the audriga and grupware migratin service fr Open-Xchange Technical feature descriptin f the audriga and grupware migratin service fr Crss- Migratin between different grupware platfrms GENERAL SERVICE The audriga and grupware migratin service allws cpying data (such as s, flders, attachments, cntacts, calendar items, tasks) between different service prvider accunts. The service will nt delete r mdify any data in the surce accunt. The service is perated by audriga. It can be accessed directly by an end user r supprt agent via a web-based UI ( self-service ) r integrated via its API (see belw). T start a migratin, a user has t enter: A surce and destinatin prvider frm a pre-cnfigured list Alternatively, the user might cnfigure a custm server by prviding a server address Surce and destinatin can be preset by varius means (e.g., URL-parameter, vucher) Lgin credentials (username, passwrd) fr each accunt that shuld be migrated and a crrespnding destinatin accunt Befre starting a migratin, a surce and destinatin mailbx t which ur migratin service can cnnect has t be in place. A means f payment (vucher cde, Paypal payment r billing address t request an invice) After starting a migratin, the prcess runs autmatically. The user might fllw the prgress n a status website. When the migratin is finished, an ntificatin will be sent. PREREQUSITES The fllwing prerequisites exist fr using the service: A recent Internet brws with JavaScript supprt fr using the web-based user interface The desired surce and destinatin prvider need t be included in the prvider list f ur applicatin. Alternatively, if adding a manually cnfigured server, it needs t be accessible via the Internet using an apprpriate Internet cnnectin (at least 10 MBit recmmended). A manually cnfigured server als needs t be available under the same IP address during the whle migratin prcess. Surce and destinatin mailbx pairs need t be accessible by ur service using the lgin credentials and prvider/server infrmatin prvided by the user during the whle migratin prcess. 2/6

3 LIMITATIONS Fr peratinal reasns, a number f restrictins apply. The restrictins may nt be enfrced in any case: A migratin cnfigured in the user interface is limited t 10 mailbxes and 100 GB f data. Please add additinal migratins when migratin mre mailbxes. The executin f a migratin is limited t 30 days. A single mailbx shuld nt exceed 25 GB f data. s larger than 64 MB will nt be migrated. If yur migratin prject exceeds any f these limits, we kindly ask yu t cntact us at supprt@audriga.cm befre starting yur migratin. CONVENIENCE FEATURES The fllwing cnvenience features are ffered by the migratin service: Migratin setup Credentials fr multiple accunts t migrate can entered by uplading a spreadsheet file (CSV) Overview f data in the cnfigured accunt (number f items and amunt f data) Warning, if data frm the surce accunt des nt fit int the destinatin accunt (nly if quta infrmatin is available frm the destinatin server) Estimatin f time required fr migratin/data transfer Setting a future start date fr the migratin Migratin features Free trial migratin, migrating nly s f the previus ten days Free delta migratin, running a secnd pass migratin after the initial migratin has finished Ntificatin s at start and end f the migratin Status page, shwing: Live prgress f the migratin Lg fr each accunt listing number f migrated items, duplicates and issue Status page is accessible frm a link in the ntificatin s in case the status page is clsed Standard cntract fr cmmissined data prcessing is ffered t business custmers SPEED & SCALABILITY Migratins typically start immediately after added t the system If nt, migratins will be queued and started autmatically, nce a migratin slt gets available Migratin slts are limited by audriga migratin servers and by the maximum number f migratins fr a certain prvider Multiple accunts will be migrated in parallel In thery, this number is nt limited, but restricted by the settings in ur prvider database t avid capacity verlads Manually cnfigured prviders/servers are limited t tw mailbxes migrated in parallel Cntact supprt@audriga.cm if yu want t migrate larger batches f accunts r need a mre accurate estimatin f migratin time On average, 400 MB f data per hur are transferred fr each single accunt 4/6

5 In case f a manually cnfigured server cnnected t a slw internet cnnectin, please d a test migratin first and/r cntact us at supprt@audriga.cm t discuss yur migratin prject. Our service is cnfigured t avid verlading the capacities f surce r destinatin prviders. Hwever, the amunt f data transferred during a migratin might nevertheless cause high lad t the server r its Internet cnnectin. It shuld be made sure that firewalls and traffic warning systems f the server administratrs are aware f the migratin, especially if large amunts f data are transferred. Fr sme prviders, thrttling limits apply, which cannt be autmatically detected by ur service. It shuld be ensured that the surce and destinatin mailbxes are nt extensively used by ther tls during a migratin. ISSUE HANDLING The service implements varius types f autmated issue handling: If special characters ccur in flder names and are knwn t be unsupprted by the destinatin, they will be replaced with supprted characters. audriga maintains a test infrastructure which runs tests fr majr prviders n a regular basis. If cnnectin prblems ccur with the surce r destinatin accunt, the service will retry up t ten times t recnnect. A flder in the destinatin accunt is always checked if a given migratin item is already present. If yes, infrmatin will be shwn in the user lg. If a migratin item r flder cannt be transferred, an errr entry will be shwn in the user lg. DATA SECURITY AND STORAGE All and grupware data will nly be cpied frm the specified surce mailbx t the destinatin mailbx. Data will nt be stred n ur migratin servers. By default, encrypted cnnectins (using SSL r STARTTLS) will be used fr cnnectins frm ur service t surce and destinatin servers. Only if nt supprted by surce and destinatin mailbx, the system will fall back t unencrypted cnnectins. Further details available at LANGUAGES, WHITE LABELING AND MEANS OF INTEGRATION The web interface f the service is currently available in English, German, French and Italian language. Supprt fr ther languages can be added easily. The web interface f the service can be widely custmized (grey- r white-labeled). All features f the migratin service are available via a well-defined API (which is als used by the web interface). Tw billing ptins are available fr service prviders: The prvider buys vucher cdes which he uses r gives t end users (fr free r fr mney) The prvider rutes end users t audriga which handles payment. The prvider can receive an affiliate bnus. 5/6
