1 Ultra-rapid Prototype Delivery OVERVIEW At Matter we believe that prototypes provide the foundations for project success. Our Ultra Rapid Prototyping service is designed to deliver a working prototype to explore a new business or process concept in 1 week. It can be provided for the development of an end-to-end customer journey, a website or a mobile application. The data might be stored in a CSV file, some of the functionality will be described by static images, other areas may be demonstrated by working wireframes, the information architecture will be high-level and areas of low priority functionality will be de-prioritised. We find that these prototypes are instrumental in deciding the vision for the product. Stakeholders who were previously all imagining the solution in different ways align or divide once they get to experience a working prototype. We typically field a team that consists of a Product Leader, a User Experience Architect, a Designer and a Developer. This senior team, is key to delivering a prototype experience that encapsulates the opportunity you are exploring. Our team runs a series of workshops with 5 stakeholders across the organisation to co-create the vision for the prototype. This approach de-risks several aspects of a project quickly and at a low cost. Additionally the deliverable provides a tangible asset to circulate across the organisation.

3 Example Prototyping Project WESTMINSTER CITY COUNCIL: PROTOTYPE PLANNING APPLICATION SEARCH > Westminster identified a high volume of calls related to planning applications and wanted to provide an easy way for people to find planning applications they were interested in. > We ran a workshop with stakeholders from Planning, IT, Communications and Business Development to look at the current end-to-end customer journey and discuss the areas for improvement.
