Rckhamptn Girls Grammar OSHC is pen t any student enrlled at the schl, frm Prep t Year 9. Our service nly prvides care t Rckhamptn Girls grammar students and children f staff member emplyed in varius psitin thrugh the schl. A meaningful weekly prgram is develped at Rckhamptn Girls Grammar OSHC which incrprates the value f play whilst still meeting the day t day requirements f schl life (such as hmewrk etc.) and the utcmes develped in My Time, Our Place Framewrk fr Schl Age Care in Australia. Outcmes in this framewrk are designed t capture the cmplex well-being, develpment & learning f all children. Cnstant reflectin n the key utcmes f the framewrk allws ur service t ptimise the well-being and capabilities f ur girls while als supprting the value f the schl and the cmmunity. Fr yur child t attend OSHC, all frms must be filled ut and submitted befre attending. Children cannt attend this facility unless an OUT OF SCHOOL HOURS CARE applicatin frm has been received, even under emergency situatins. If yu are nt currently enrlled at OUT OF SCHOOL HOURS CARE and wish t have this service available t yu, we ask yu t fill ut an applicatin frm available frm RGGS Receptin r Lwer Primary. In the event f yur child needing t g t Out f Hurs Schl Care and the applicatin frm has nt been received, we cannt accept yur child under any circumstances. An adult is required t sign ut children wh are attending Outside Schl Hurs Care n each ccasin. Befre Schl Supervised Play Befre Schl Supervised Play is fr students frm Prep t Year 9 and is lcated in the Lwer Primary Building n the Crner f Agnes and Denham Streets. Access is frm the car park at the bttm f the Schl in Little Athelstane Street (ff Denham St). All students are t be escrted in by an adult wh will then sign them in. Befre Schl Supervised Play perates frm Mnday t Friday 7:15am t 8.15am. After Schl Care (ASC) After Schl Care is fr students frm Prep t Year 9 and is lcated in the Lwer Primary Building n the Crner f Agnes and Denham Streets. Access is frm the car park at the bttm f the Schl in Little Athelstane Street (ff Denham St). All students are t be cllected and signed ut f the facility by an authrised adult. After Schl Care Prgram perates Mnday t Friday frm 3.00pm t 6.00pm. Fees (2013): Permanent bking Casual bking $23.00 per afternn $26.00 per afternn An afternn tea snack and drink are prvided t every child wh attends after schl care. Nte: During the clder mnths this rutine will change t ensure children receive adequate time fr utside play befre it gets t cld & dark. Students frm Prep t Year 9 wh are attending After Schl Care, will be met in the Lwer Primary area by a member f the After Schl Care team. Vacatin Care Vacatin Care is fr students frm Prep t Year 9 and is lcated in the Lwer Primary Building n the Crner f Agnes and Denham Streets. Access is frm the car park at the bttm f the Schl in Little Athelstane Street (ff Denham St). All children are t be escrted and signed in and cllected and signed ut by an authrised adult each day. The Vacatin Care Prgram perates Mnday t Friday frm 7:30am t 5.30pm. Fees (2015): Shrt day (9.00am t 3.00pm) Lng day (8.00am t 6.00pm) $48.00 per day $54.00 per day Yu must prvide yur child with a packed lunch every day and snacks fr mrning tea and afternn tea, a screw tp bttle f water that can be refilled, a wide brimmed hat, clsed-in shes and a spare set f clthes fr emergencies. Daily Activities: Each day yur child will have access t varius cnstructive equipment, music, hme crner, utside games, quiet areas, art and craft. We reserve the right t change activities due t unfreseen circumstances. Excursins: Csts fr all excursins will charged t yur accunt. Bkings: At RGGS OSHC we require all families t fill a bking sheet ut at the start f each term indicating the days and sessins that care is required. They shuld als indicate if it is a permanent r casual bking Vacatin care and pupil free days will require a separate bking frm t be cmpleted and returned ne week prir t care starting. Cancellatins and Nn-attendance: Please ntify the educatrs prmptly if yur child/ children will nt be attending. Permanent bkings in RGGS OSHC will be charged the nrmal sessin fee fr any absences. 6 Cancellatin f casual care bkings: Fees will nt be charged if the bking is cancelled prir t 2.00pm n the day f care. Cancellatin after 2.00pm may result in the fee being charged. Cancellatin f vacatin care bking: Fees will nt be charged if ntice is given by 8:30 am n the same day care was required. Allwable absences will be used fr all ther instances including vacatin care cancellatins. GENERAL INFORMATION: ATTENDANCE AT OUT OF SCHOOL HOURS CARE (OSHC) FACILITY All children are signed in t After Schl Care (ASC) by the Out f Schl Hurs Care (OSHC) assistants. Parents are t sign their children ut f ASC each day by signing the sheet as they cllect their child/children frm the Lwer Primary area. If yur child is absent, please phne the OSHC mbile r Schl Receptin by 9:00am n (07) s that OSHC staff can be ntified. If yur child becmes ill during the day and subsequently will be absent frm ASC, please cntact OSHC n r Receptin n as sn as pssible prir t 3.00pm. This is a backup t the Schl system. ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE AT RGGS RGGS students in Years Prep/1 are t be delivered t and cllected frm the Lwer Primary area. CARS At arrival and departure times dangerus situatins can arise if drivers are nt rderly and patient. Please park yur car in the car park when yu are bringing r cllecting yur child t and frm the OSHC. Prep/1 children are t be accmpanied by an adult. CHANGE OF ADDRESS It is the respnsibility f parents and guardians t ensure that change f address and phne cntacts are made knwn t the OSHC C-rdinatr as sn as pssible t ensure prmpt cmmunicatin fr emergencies and mail uts. Please ask fr an RGGS OSHC Change f Details frm frm the OSHC C-rdinatr r assistant. GRIEVANCES All cmplaints regarding OSHC are t be firstly directed t the C-rdinatr f OSHC. The OSHC C-rdinatr will then infrm the Principal and shuld further actin be required then the steps as utlined in the RGGS Grievance Prcedure Plicy will be fllwed. Fr further infrmatin regarding grievances please refer t the Grievance Prcedure Plicy n the RGGS website r request a cpy frm Receptin. ILLNESS AND ACCIDENTS When a student at OSHC becmes ill r is invlved in an accident, the OSHC assistant in charge f the grup is t btain immediate medical assistance frm the RGGS Health Care C-Ordinatr, wh will be able t advise f further actin. 7 In an emergency, it is RGGS practice t take immediate actin as deemed necessary fr the safety f yur child. This may take the frm f a call t the ambulance r t ur n-site registered nurse (8:00am t 4:00pm). As sn as practical, parents will be cntacted, hwever if this nt pssible, an additinal emergency cntact and their relatinship t yur child is required t be supplied n their medical frm. If illness r an accident ccurs n an excursin, immediate medical assistance will be sught. The C-rdinatr will infrm the Schl immediately. The Principal will als be ntified f any serius accidents r injuries. An Accident Reprt Frm shuld be submitted within 24 hurs f the accident. All enrlled RGGS students are cvered 24 hurs per day, 7 days a week fr Student Accident Insurance. LOST PROPERTY It is essential that all pssessins be named clearly, s that lst prperty can be returned. If any items are lst, please check first with the OSHC assistant r C-rdinatr. If nt claimed, prperty will be placed in the Lst Prperty basket which is lcated in Student Services. NUTRITION AFTERNOON TEA AT OUT OF SCHOOL HOURS CARE We aim t prvide the children with a selectin f healthy and nutritius fds each day. A weekly menu will be displayed fr parents f the OSHC ntice bard. PARENTAL CONCERNS Parents with cncerns fr their child s well-being shuld cntact the OSHC Assistant r Crdinatr in the first instance. If further discussins are required parents may then cntact the Principal. PASTORAL CARE Our pastral care prgram is an expressin f RGGS cmmitment t the traditinal values f pride in neself, ne s effrts, and ne s appearance, respect fr thers and their prperty, hnesty and fairness in all things. OSHC service prvides pastral care by maintaining a climate f supprt and encuragement at the centre.
