1 Student Agenda Scholarship Explore Program (Sample) Day One 10:00am Ongoing Activities Check in Ronald Tutor Campus Center, Tommy s Place. Pre Health Presentations (10:15am & 12:15pm) Students entering USC with a Pre Health interest are invited to hear about programs and services offered in our USC Pre Health Center. Students, faculty and staff will be on hand to address questions about preparation for careers in the health field. (duration: 45 minutes) Campus Walking Tours (10:15am, 11:15am, 12:15pm, 1:15pm) Acquaint yourself with our campus and discover USC history, traditions and student life on a walking tour led by a current student. (duration: 50 minutes) Neighborhood Bus Tours (bus tours leave every 30 min. between 10:15am and 1:15pm) Take a driving tour of the University Park neighborhood with an Office of Admission staff member as your guide. (duration: 30 minutes) Thematic Option Presentation (11:15am & 1:15pm) Learn about USC's Thematic Option (T.O.), the honors general education alternative that has been cited by several college guides as one of the best undergraduate honors programs in the country. (duration: approximately 45 minutes) 2:30pm 3:30pm Let us officially congratulate you on your admission to USC. Join us for a warm welcome from the Office of Admission. Academic Information Sessions Various locations (you will be led to the appropriate location immediately following the Welcome Presentation). Representatives from your academic department will host presentations to inform you about the opportunities available in your major.

2 Sample Student Agenda (continued) 5:30pm 6:00pm Student / Host Match Up At your Academic Information Session location During this session, you will meet your student host for the evening and receive your interview location and time. Dinner Residential Dining Facility (refer to the meal voucher you received at student/host match up for location details). Enjoy dinner in one of our residential dining facilities with your student host. 7:00pm Evening Activity Day Two 8:00am 8:15am Breakfast Residential Dining Facility (refer to the meal voucher you received at student/host match up for location details). Financial Aid Presentation Representatives from the Financial Aid Office will be giving an overview of scholarships, grants, on campus employment, and Federal Direct Loan Programs, including eligibility and application procedures. You can also learn about the USC Payment Plan and other options for managing your family s contribution. 9:00am 12:00pm Scholarship Interviews Interviews last between 20 and 30 minutes. Before or after your interview feel free to sit in on the following sessions or visit a class (a class visit schedule is provided in your packet). 9:30am 12:00pm Student Life Sessions Student Life Presentations (9:30am) Representatives from the Division of Student Affairs, the Housing Department and USC s Department of Public Safety will discuss topics of importance to new members of the Trojan Family. Student Panel (11:00am) We have recruited a group of current students who can t wait to share their USC experiences with you.

3 Sample Student Agenda (continued) 12:15pm Lunch Join us for lunch where current students and staff from across the campus will be happy to address any final questions. 1:00 p.m. Conclusion of Program An optional student led walking tour of USC s fraternity and sorority row, as well as a campus walking tour, will be departing from Town & Gown immediately following the conclusion of the program. USC Shuttles to LAX Complimentary shuttles to Los Angeles International Airport will be departing at 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. from in front of Vivian Hall. (VHE on map) Look for the sign on Watt Way & Downey Way. Please sign up for these shuttles at program check in.
