1 1 st Annual Poultry 101 Day The University of North Georgia Gainesville campus, in conjunction with our UNG Poultry Science club, would like to invite you and your students to our first ever Poultry 101 day. This event will be held Saturday January 23, 2016 on the Gainesville campus. During the event your students will learn several aspects of the Poultry CDE and/or 4H poultry judging competition requirements, such as, candling, broken out egg grading, parts and exterior egg quality. This full day session will also expose your students to career options and college options within the area of Poultry Science. Registration Deadline is January 11 th! During the day, not only will students have hands on exercises learning the different requirements for FFA and 4H judging events, but they will also get to tour the campus, hear about preparations for college, and career options from both UNG faculty, staff and students of our programs. An outline of the day s events are attached for your review. 6 Registration information: What s included? Continental Breakfast, snacks and Lunch will be provided. T shirt will also be provided to each participant. Cost: $10/person One advisor per school/club is free. (i.e. North Hall Middle FFA = 1 advisor free, North Hall High school FFA= 1 advisor free. ) However, groups with 10 students or more can have 2 free advisors. If you d like to have more than one advisor attend, that is totally fine, as long as there is room and the registration fee is paid. Please send money (cash, check or money order) in the mail with registration form. This is the only way to hold your spot. You will receive an of receipt. Paper receipts can be provided upon request. **Scholarships available upon request. Please don t let the fee stop a student from participating, contact me for details!** Registration Deadline: January 11 th Money and forms must be received at UNG by this date in order to reserve your spot. We can only accept the first 50 registrations due to space. IF we have remaining spots open after this date, we may take walk up registrations however you will need to communicate via prior to showing up to ensure that we have remaining spots. I would aim to put your registrations IN the mail no later than January 5 th to ensure they are received in enough time!
