1 Fall 2014 Orientation Schedule (Tentative) Wednesday, August 20 th Residence Hall Check-In 9:00-3:00 p.m. - Residence Halls Residential students should head first to their assigned residence halls to meet and check in with the Residential Life staff. Students should then proceed to the Cornell Campus Center to complete the check-in process. College Check-In 9:00-3:00 p.m. - Cornell Campus Center Off-campus students should proceed directly to the Campus Center for check-in. Residential students should complete residential hall check-in before proceeding to the Campus Center. Dinner On Campus or On Your Own 5:00-7:00 p.m. - Skillman Dining Hall or Off Campus Enjoy a meal with your student at Skillman Dining Hall or one of Park Avenue s fantastic restaurants. President s Welcome 7:00-8:00 p.m. - Warden Arena, Alfond Sports Center President McAllaster officially welcomes your student and your family to the Rollins community. Athletes required. RCC Meet and Greet 8:00-9:00 p.m. RCC Classrooms Meet with your RCC classmates and Peer Mentors to discuss the Orientation schedule and community standards. Athletes required. Rollins Entertainment Programs - Harlan Cohen 9:00 11:00 p.m. Bush Auditorium, Bush Science Center Motivational speaker presented by Rollins Entertainment Programs.

2 Thursday, August 21 st Breakfast 7:30-9:00 Skillman Dining Hall President McAllaster s Welcome to Families 9:00-10:00 Bush Auditorium President McAllaster s personal message to Rollins parents and families. RCC Classes Meet 9:00-10:00 a.m. - RCC Classrooms During this class meeting, you will learn about Rollins liberal arts curriculum and will start to plan an exciting, safe, and productive first semester in college. Athletes and transfers required. Business casual attire. Convocation 10:30-12:00 p.m. - Warden Arena, Alfond Sports Center The book-end ceremony to graduation, convocation marks your student s formal matriculation into the Rollins academic community. Athletes and transfers required. Business casual attire. Class Photo Immediately following Convocation In front of Mills Memorial Hall All Campus Welcome Lunch 12:00-2:00 p.m. (ends at1:30 for parents)- Skillman Dining Hall Title IX Training - Students 2:00-5:00 pm - TBD This session will focus on healthy relationships and the difficult issue of sex and gender violence.

3 Families Meet with RCC Faculty 1:30-2:30 pm RCC Classrooms During this program, you ll have the opportunity to meet with your student s RCC professor who is his or her first semester academic advisor. Please refer to the meeting location insert in your welcome folder. If you are unsure of your student s RCC or meeting location, Student Success staff will be stationed on the front steps of the Mills Building to assist. Starting with Student Success (Parents) 2:45-3:15 pm Bush Auditorium Learn about Rollins commitment to your students success in this welcome from our Student Success team. Friday, August 22 nd RCC Class Meet-Up w/ Faculty 8:30-9:15 a.m. RCC Classrooms Meet with your classmates, Peer Mentors, and RCC faculty before academic advising. Athletes required Book Project (Students and Faculty) 9:15-10 a.m. RCC Classrooms Athletes required Individual Advising Appointments 10:00am-6:00 p.m. Olin Library Discuss your plans with your RCC professor and Peer Mentors and get advice on how to make your first year successful. During these appointments, you will have time to look over your fall semester class schedule and make any necessary changes. Pizza with Annie 12:00-1 p.m. Annie Stage, Annie Russell Theatre Join the faculty and staff of the Department of Theatre and Dance for this crash course in all the ways to get involved this year! From auditions to improv, classes to crews, this is the best way to explore opportunities on stage and off. Plus, there s pizza. And who doesn t like pizza?
