If you signed up for the Parent Directory on Munch Lunch you'll need to go to the link above and sign up for the e-news . The e-news and Parent Directory are different. If you have already signed up...thank YOU Scholastic Book Fair Thank you Boundary for a hugely successful Book Fair!!! With the support of teachers, staff and our fabulous volunteers, we raised almost $4,000!!!! That means we will be putting almost $2,300 worth of books directly back into our school! Great job students and parents! To show his support for our Book Fair, Mr. MacLeod agreed to dress up like a Storybook Character, if we met our goal of $3,000. The good news is that we demolished our goal. So look for Mr. MacLeod in costume in early January. Also congratulations to Aiden Baker and Ms. Dale for winning the Family Event draw. Congratulations as well to all the students that won golden ticket rewards. Enjoy and happy reading!

3 French Bingo Night French Bingo night at Boundary was a big success! Approximately 200 intermediate students and their parents attended the evening and played Bingo, ate baked goodies and practised their numbers in French! We even had a few student callers! Our Canadian Parents for French representatives rented the Bingo machine and collected some fabulous raffle prize donations. They raised $1250 in all. It was a great community builder, and lots of fun. Here is a link to an article on the School District web page: Winter Skate Friday, December 19 Winter skate is just around the corner it's next Friday! Celebrate the start of Winter Break with Winter Skate at Karen Magnusson Arena. Buy tickets now through to Tuesday December 16. Doors open at 5:15pm, skate from 5:30pm to 7:45pm. Pizza will be served from 6:15pm to 6:45pm. Check out the PAC website for all the details & to register. Carnival The Carnival may be months away but the planning has begun! We are searching for a group of volunteers to join the June 19th Carnival Committee. We need to have a committee organized by January 30 th, so please check your calendars and see if you can help. ***We are looking for a MINIMUM OF 8 PARENT VOLUNTEERS to work on the Carnival Event*** This has the potential to be a great event for the school, but it will require a lot of parent participation to pull this off. If we cannot get AT LEAST 8 volunteers to run this committee and help us out, we will have no other option than CANCELLING THE CARNIVAL. 4 Join the PAC Executive team! Have you ever thought about become a PAC Executive member?? Well, now is the perfect time to get out and join other eager parents in making our school better. There are some positions becoming available on Exec and we would love to see some new faces. Please contact boundary.pac.chair@gmail.com or boundary.pac.treasurer@gmail.com for more information or to put your name forward. school news Appropriate clothes for outside play The past few weeks have brought extreme weather conditions to the North Shore. One minute we are dressing for cold, dry days, then we need rain coats and boots. Please make sure students have appropriate outside gear for the weather. Students are sent outside in most weather conditions and need to be dressed properly. Rain coat, rain pants and boots are needed on rainy days. Inside shoes are encouraged for students to change into after outside play time. Christmas tree voting Remember to come to the Lynn Valley Village and vote for your favourite Christmas tree before December 23rd. Ballots are available from every merchant in the Village. École Boundary has a beautiful tree located next to Browns Restaurant, that has been decorated by the students. Please take a moment to vote for our tree!

5 École Boundary Winter Celebration extra tickets on sale now! École Boundary Winter Celebration will be held at Centennial Theatre this Monday, December 15. This year, general admission tickets will be sold through the Centennial Theatre box office for $8.50 and are available for sale NOW! If you require additional tickets for family members, the Centennial Theatre box office is now open for additional ticket purchases. Pajama Day Friday December 19 What better way to celebrate Winter Vacation than spending a day in your pajamas! Staff and students are invited to wear their cosy pajamas and bring their favourite stuffy to school on Friday December 19 th. community news Lynn Valley Lions Christmas Trees Please support our local Lynn Valley Lions Christmas tree lot. From Saturday November 29 December 21 (or until sold out), the Lions will be selling Christmas trees in the Karen Magnusson parking lot. Trees will be $20+ and every tree sold will help with their work in the community. Donations for Christmas hamper programme will also be accepted. Visit the Lions Monday Friday 12 noon 8:00pm and on weekends from 9:00am 9:00pm. Thanks for reading - Have a great week!
