2 About the Alaska Nurses Association INTEGRITY ADVOCACY PROFESSIONALISM REPRESENTATION EMPOWERMENT The mission of the Alaska Nurses Association is to advance and support the profession of nursing in Alaska. We are a voice for and represent over 9,000 nurses across the entire state of Alaska.

3 Dear Employers, Educators, and Friends of Nursing, On Friday, September 30 th, the Alaska Nurses Association is hosting a Recruitment Fair for nurses across our community. The Recruitment and Mentorship Fair takes place during AaNA s annual conference, with attendees from across the state. This is your opportunity to meet a diverse population of both experienced and new nurses who offer expertise and experiences in a variety of practice areas. By becoming a sponsor and exhibitor at the 2016 Fall Nursing Recruitment Fair you will have the opportunity to get your organization s name in front of hundreds of Alaskan nurses. 6 CAREER WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITY Attention Employers and Educators! Friends of Nursing! The Alaska Nurses Association is honored to invite you to host career workshops at our Recruitment Fair on September 30, 2016 in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska! Share your HR expertise and knowledge with nurses from across the state let nurses know what they need to do to land a job at your facility and share tips on how candidates can stand out in a crowded field. Our goal is to bring together bright minds to give presentations that will assist nurses in being successful both in their job search and in the workplace. We would love to have special sessions that are idea-focused and on a wide range of subjects, to foster learning, inspiration and wonder and provoke conversations that matter. The Alaska Nurses Associations welcomes your creative input and would love to hear your ideas for these special presentations. Your presentation could be up to 30 minutes, on any themes or topics you're interested in, however, some ideas we suggest are Resume Writing for Nursing Positions, Top 10 Tips for Landing Your First Nursing Job, and How to Make Yourself Stand Out in a Crowded Field of Nurses. We believe your input would be a critical addition to the Recruitment Fair, as well as your presence.
