2 Job Profile JOB TITLE GROUP TEAM LOCATION RESPONSIBLE TO Project Coordinator (Passages) Global Programmes Incubation Hub Teddington (with occasional overseas travel) Technical Lead - Masculinities PART 1 JOB DESCRIPTION 1. PURPOSE OF THE TEAM To provide strategic direction to Tearfund in its response to themes identified in by Tearfund for innovation. To inform the development and implementation of Tearfund s strategic response to sexual Violence and addressing conflict/peace building. The goal, purpose and objectives of the strategies are met Good practice is defined and adopted by Tearfund and partners Responses are scaled up through co-ordination at the corporate, regional and country levels Clear policies and processes are developed and adhered to. Adequate resources are secured to support strategy implementation of the strategy. 2. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To support the Technical Lead- Masculinities with the Passages project. Establishing and coordinating project systems. Monitoring and ensuring budget and financial information is up to date. Coordinating information and documentation with the internal stakeholders at Tearfund. To work with the Media team to highlight the Passages project s key achievements 3. GENERIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To take responsibility for a designated area of the team s overall task or specific projects. Share in responsibility for the overall team task and be responsible for carrying out work packages Liaise with internal and external contacts Responsible for reviewing own personal development, and overall team tasks 4. PARTICIPATION IN THE SPIRITUAL LIFE OF TEARFUND To attend corporate weekly Staff Prayers on Wednesdays, to hear of Tearfund s work and to spend time in prayer and worship together. To lead or participate in spiritual sessions of prayer and biblical reflection within the Team / Group To be committed to Tearfund s Missions, Values and Beliefs statement. To be committed to actively working and living in accordance with Tearfund s Christian beliefs. To maintain your own spiritual development.

3 5. POSITION IN ORGANISATION Reports to and works closely with the Technical Lead, Masculinities. 6. DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities 1. Support to Project Lead in establishing Project systems coordination and documentation (40%) Work with the Project Lead in the following areas: Compiling and collating project information and documentation and responsible for managing the process Pulling together the information required for the quarterly technical report and working with the technical lead for this project to finalize the report Work with the designated Monitoring and Evaluation person and the DRC team to make sure all required information is collected, systems are in place and tools are understood and used Participate, coordinate and input in yearly work plan and budget development process internally and with the technical lead to make sure timely preparedness of the relevant documents. 2. Financial management (30%) Budget and expense management, making sure that all internal stakeholders update the budget/expenses to make sure budget is up to date. Coordinating with key staff to make sure that the monthly billing to IRH goes through in time so that the reimbursements can be processed smoothly.. Work with our finance focal point for budget and expense management and reporting. 3. Internal Coordination (30%) Coordination between the different internal actors, SV Team, DRC TF team and other internal stakeholders within Tearfund. Coordinate the process related to contracts, letters of agreements internally in a timely manner and liaise with IRH to get it finalized Work with learning teams internally to organize capacity development for field teams on themes related to this project. Contribute to the development of knowledge products for internal and consortium purposes Liaise and inform internally within Tearfund when required on project progress, updates and learning to keep internal stakeholders engaged. Work with the media team to highlight key achievements and communications of the Passages project liaising with the IRH communication team.

4 PART 2 PERSON SPECIFICATION JOB TITLE: Project Coordinator (Passages) ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Degree or equivalent level of knowledge in development or related field Any additional qualification in gender related subjects EXPERIENCE Substantial field experience of working in coordinating projects. Experience of working with a development organisation. Managing budgets and financial systems. Managing compliance and documentation for donors. Successful management of donor funded projects. SKILLS/ ABILITIES Strong written and communication skills Strong project management skills Budget management Good IT skills for project management Good presentation skills Delivery of tasks as per deadlines Good networking skills Good team working skills Knowledge of other languages. French would be advantageous. Media skills PERSONAL QUALITIES Confident communicator Works with integrity Excellent time management Team player Strong organising skills

5 TEARFUND INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS JOB TITLE: Project Coordinator (Passages) OFFICE HOURS: Monday to Friday 9.00am pm with one hour for lunch. 35 hour working week. 21 hour working week (3 days a week) fixed term for 2 years. ANNUAL LEAVE - FULL YEAR: 25 days pro-rata + statutory bank hols + additional days at Christmas SICK LEAVE SCHEME: Based on length of service NON-CONTRIBUTORY PENSION SCHEME: Tearfund will contribute 10% of your salary to your pension. All staff are contractually enrolled onto the Tearfund group pension scheme NEW STAFF SERVICE: 6 months probationary period with a 3 month review Grade: 5 SALARY: 27,500 FTE ( 16,500 per annum)
