If yu want t create a blg that will survive beynd the end f this class, yu can use Blgger, WrdPress, TypePad, r anther blgging system. Blgger is the easiest t use f all the systems but the mst limited in functin. If yu use a

Once yur blg is created, me its URL (web address) and I will link it. Frequency and Quality f Psts Make at least tw psts f three paragraphs (thugh they can be lnger) r mre each week, and add cmments t the blgs f ther class members (including mine) at least three times a week. Mre are welcme, but the smallest number f psts and cmments shuld be five weekly. A pst shuld cnsist f a link t an nline news resurce, alng with a quick summary f the imprtant pint(s) and yur wn persnal analysis. Blg psts shuld pay particular attentin t the news reprting techniques, bias f the reprter f that stry, r larger significance f the stry itself t plitics. A cmment is where yu add analysis t anther class member s pst r critique either their pint f view r analysis f the stry. Cmments can be at least tw sentences with n maximum length. I have attached a blg grading rubric I will use t issue yur blg grades. Students will be eligible fr up t 25 pints per grading perid. The five criteria yu will receive up t five pints fr are a) number f blg psts, b) number f cmments n ther blgs, c) adequate cntent as described abve, d) plitically- relevant cntent, and e) cmpliance with the due date. One f the advantages blgs have is the cmment system. With cmments yu can cntinue the cnversatins we have abut tpics in class int yur blgs utside f class. I encurage yu t write as many blg psts and cmments as yu wuld like, being sure t keep them relevant t the tpic f plitical cmmunicatin.
