8 2015 HIGHLIGHTS FULLDOME 3D CIOE join hands with Fulldome.pro to hold 360 fulldome 3D activity to show the new experience of digital planetarium and theaters. The activity attracts thousands of visitor onsite. CHINA UNICOM PRESS CONFERENCE At CIOE 2015, China Unicom held a press conference to announce the gigabit model network and the launching of the ultra-broadband access industry alliance. FACE TO FACE SOURCING MEETING In 2015, CIOE launched the second private sourcing meetings allowing exhibitors and buyers to meet in seclusion and discuss partnerships. Over 250 selected buyers met with exhibitors in meetings arranged at request by CIOE s organizing committee. AMATEURS ASTRONOMERS SALON The Amateurs Astronomer Salon has been continuously held for 5 years and gets a lot of astrophiles attention. The event is comprised of four activities; astronomical instrument show; astronomical photography contest, astronomy knowledge lecture and experience exchange meeting. The invited astronomy professionals and experts gathered onsite to propagate the astronomical knowledge and science.

9 2015 HIGHLIGHTS INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON SAPPHIRE MARKET AND TECHNOLOGIES 2015 The 1st International Forum on Sapphire Market and Technologies, organized by the Yole Developpement (Yole) and (CIOE), took place from August 31 to September 1. The forum featured 20 international speakers from leading companies across the entire value chain. Attendance exceeded all expectations with close to 230 participants. CIOE U.S.A DAY The US Commercial Service Guangzhou worked with CIOE team to hold U.S. Smart City Technology Presentation on September 2nd. The event attracted about 200 participants in the industry. Representatives from Qualcomm, Nucloud, Aylanetworks all delivered exciting and informative presentations about their latest solutions in smart city industry. Concurrent Academic Conference THE OPTOELECTRONICS GLOBAL CONFERENCE Organized by IEEE Photonics Society, Supported by Shenzhen University and CIOE, the 3-day Optoelectronics Global Conference (OGC) attracted more than 300 professionals and researchers attending the event. The topics of the event covered entire optoelectronics industry, including biophotonics, lasers, optical communications, optoelectronics devices and fiber-based technologies.
