Some seem to forget how its supposed to be. 3 Conference rooms We have two conference rooms available for hire, each infused with natural light and open space for comfort and creativity. Both rooms have eight layout options, so from a boardroom few to a theatre view, we re flexible. If you require a special arrangement, please let us know!

4 The Trading Room is the executive choice for smaller conferences and has a homely log burner to keep you toasty warm whilst you work! It accommodates 14 keen business people boardroom style and a maximum of 22 with our theatre layout. 5 Our vast Shipping Room can seat up to 64 eager eyes and ears for meetings and conferences using our theatre layout. You can alternatively hold 36 people boardroom style or accommodate a huge 100 if combined with our Bar and Lounge. With a Superfast Broadband connection, free parking and flexibility in room setup, it s an ideal central location in Cornwall for business meetings, conferences and training. We invite you to set up camp in our Lounge for the day; comfortable surroundings and a toasty log burner await you with unlimited fresh tea and coffee, served with a smile. 10pp Contact reception to check availability TEAMBUILDING PACKAGE We highly recommend Killiow Golf Club or Truro Paintball both only a short drive away to offer a day of activity since those who pull together, play together. Make full use of the indoor and outdoor driving ranges and perfect your swing. Book golf directly with Killiow Golf Club or Truro Paintball paintball. Please note this does not entitle the user to exclusive use of the Lounge, we love the hustle and bustle of everyone working together! The Lounge also needs to be arranged in advance to avoid double booking with private events. 10 Fuelling inspiration We love food at Merchant House, and we know that you and your team work best when well fed. Whether it s finger food or a sit-down soirée, our chefs always hit the spot! TIN MINER S TEA We like to stay traditional at Merchant House, and being in Cornwall that means cream teas! Discuss business ambitions with Cornish scones topped with jam and Rodda s clotted cream, washed down with a good cuppa. Alongside the traditional cream tea and homemade cakes, we also serve freshly made sandwiches with thick tasty bread, sausage rolls, cocktail pasties (you can t beat proper Cornish food) and tortillas with a spicy salsa, arriba! 14pp AFTERNOON TEA For those with less of an appetite, the afternoon tea package offers lavishly filled sandwiches, homemade cakes, Cornish scones and jam with Rodda s clotted cream alongside freshly brewed tea or coffee. Now, ready to talk business? 10pp HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT How many conferences have you been to where you ve been served a single sliver of cake on a paper plate? Too many, we bet. At Merchant House we provide a hearty conference cake just for you. We serve it in your conference room so you can cut your own portions, getting exactly the amount you want. If you don t manage to finish it (if you ve seen the size of them you ll know what we mean), you can take the rest away with you perfect for a sugar-boost on the way home or back at the office! MUGS, NOT CUPS Following our cake philosophy of more-is-better, our tea and coffee is served in chunky mugs something you can really get your hands around and enjoy a proper brew out of.

The Merchant Montgomery is a full English breakfast with generous servings of bacon, scrambled egg, sausage, tomato, mushrooms and baked beans dig in! 7.50pp + room hire Maximum of 10 delegates (so we can get your breakfast to the table hot, tasty and on the double!) Merchant House was an excellent venue to host our event; large enough to accommodate our guests, but small enough to be personal and efficient. BREAKFAST BAGS We can organise a tasty breakfast bag for those who need to make a speedy getaway! ADVANCED BOOKING Whichever package you choose, if you could let us know how many people will be visiting 48 hours beforehand (24 hours for Tin Miner s Tea, Afternoon Tea and delegate package breakfasts), so we can avoid any embarrassment of catering and charging for the original enquiry number. No minimum number applies for the Tin Miner s Tea and Afternoon Tea options, and the Bar & Lounge can be used free of charge. Aren t we nice? ACCOMMODATION We have 29 ensuite rooms to choose from at Merchant House, each with free WiFi, Freeview equipped flatscreen TVs, complimentary toiletries, powerful showers, hairdryers and tea and coffee facilities. Merchant House is close enough to the town should you fancy venturing out for dinner or drinks yet far enough away to get a peaceful nights rest. If you prefer a little company, you can bring your partner along for no extra charge! FAXES AND PHOTOCOPYING Complimentary photocopying and faxing are available for those holding conferences with us. EVENTS PROMOTION We are pleased to promote your event both before and after by using our social media accounts and featuring it on our blog. Just ask if you require this service and we ll put you in touch with our marketing department. LAUNDRY AND DRYING FACILITIES Our guest laundry and drying room are ideal for outdoorsy-types who need to dry out coats and boots (or golf shoes!) The drying room is free to use, but a small charge is required for launderette use. PARKING Free parking is available, but if you don t have any wheels it s only a short walk to the city centre and nearby train/bus stations. DOG FRIENDLY We love to cater for both man and beast at Merchant House, and for a little extra cost you needn t worry about what Rover s up to whilst you re away, you can bring him along!
