2 Who we are The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada is a national non-profit organization dedicated to granting an exceptional wish to children three to 17 years of age, diagnosed with a life threatening illness. We have granted more than 23,000 wishes since we began over 30 years ago and hope to grant 1,200 new wishes this year alone. Wishes work wonders We ve seen proof of this time and again at Children s Wish. We have seen how fulfilling a heartfelt wish can transform the life of a child diagnosed with a life threatening illness. We ve watched how, with every wish we grant, we create moments of joy that ease the pain of a child and give respite to the child s family. Children s Wish is now expanding our reach to include children with severe neurological conditions who live with long-term complications. These include children with the most severe form of cerebral palsy or rare genetic diseases children with mobility challenges who are often largely or fully dependent on their families for day-to-day activities. These are children who face incredible struggles and need constant care, hospitalization and can suffer from severe disabilities and delays in their development. In the next year alone, we anticipate a 20% increase in referrals for children with severe cerebral palsy and other similar conditions in addition to children with life threatening illnesses whom we already serve.

3 What s in a wish The average cost of a wish is approximately $10,000. Wishes can be as heartwarming and as simple as getting a puppy or as elaborate as a multi-country trip to Europe. We are Canada s largest and best-in-class wish granting agency, with a highly organized network and system that ensure every stage and aspect of the wish granting process is looked after and stress-free for wish families. Every wish, every single story of joy and healing, is as unique as the child who makes the request. Every day of the year, with the help of donors, we fulfill the fervent wish of three Canadian children living with pain and uncertainty. You may not know it, but one of them might be that child living on your street, or sitting in class next to your own child. For three decades, we've been making a difference in communities across Canada, maybe even right where you live. What is the Princess Party? Calling all Princesses and Superheroes! Moms and Dads will be asked to bring out their inner child and join us at the Princess Party at the beautiful and historic Casa Loma. It will be an exciting evening of everything magical and fun! The evening includes horse and carriage rides around the castle, a princess beauty parlour, a face painting zone, craft stations, hobnobbing with your favourite Princesses and Action Heroes and lots of great food for the whole family. Royal Subjects will dance the night away, or until they lose their glass slippers. But it won t stop there we plan to celebrate birthdays, as well as granting an actual wish the evening of our event to a very deserving Wish Child.
