1 How-To Change your Account Settings in Office Outlook 2010: This document will how you step-by-step how to change your account settings in Microsoft Office Outlook This how-to only covers this version of Microsoft Office Outlook. Note: From step 8, and on will work in 2007 as well!!! Step 1: Open Microsoft Office Outlook 2010 Step 2: Click on the File Tab at the top (should be yellow) the home tab will be selected by default: Step 3: After you click on the File tab the middle of the window should change from this (pictured below): To this:

2 Step 4: Info should already be selected as seen in the picture above. If it is not selected you will need to click on it. Step 5: Once you see Account Information at the top of the window you will see your account directly underneath that. Below that you will see three options (pictured below): Step 6: To change your account settings you will need to click on the box at the top. Once you click on the box you will get another option to click on (pictured below): Step 7: Once you see the rectangular Account Settings box click on that once.

3 Step 8: After you click on the 2 nd account settings box a new window will appear, and that will be the account settings window (pictured below): Step 9: In the Account Settings window you should see only your CBPU account. Once you have located your CBPU account click on it once to highlight it. Step 10: Above the location where you found your account, and clicked on it are some options the one that you want to find then click on is the change button (pictured below): Step 11: After you have clicked on the Change icon another window will open up, and that is the Change Account window (pictured below) all of your account information will be here:

4 Step 12: Now on this page you will need to make one change, and that will be to your user name. You will need to to your user name. Step 13: After you have to your user name you can click on the More Settings button in the bottom right hand corner of the Change Account Settings window. That will open up the Internet Settings window. Step 14: Now once you have the Internet Settings window open you should see roughly the same as the picture below.

5 Step 15: After you have the Internet Settings window open you will need to click on the Outgoing Server tab (pictured below): Once you have the Outgoing Server tab open you will need to check the box that says My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication as you see in the above picture. The setting underneath User same settings as my incoming mail server will be checked by default. Leave it as is, and move on to the next step. Step 16: Once you have completed step 15 you can then click on the Advanced tab, and you should see roughly the same as the picture below:

6 Step 17: Now that you are on the Advanced tab at the very top under the Server Port Numbers section we will need to make two changes. The first change will be to check the box that says This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Once you check that box that will change the Incoming Server (POP3) port number from 110 to 995 (as pictured below): The second change that will need to be done is to click on the down arrow in the box that says None in it. There you will have 3 options (pictured below): You will want to choose TLS, and once you click on TLS that drop down box will go away. Now your Internet Settings window should look like this:

7 Step 18: After you have finished with the previous steps, and confirmed that you settings have been changed click the button. Step 19: After you have clicked the ok button you will be taken back to the Change account window. Before we click next at the bottom to move on we will want to check the new account settings to make sure that they work. So on the right hand side of the Change Account window you will see the Test Account Settings button. Click it. Step 20: Once you click on the Test Account Settings button a window will pop up that is the Test Account Settings window (pictured below): This window will pop up, and it will automatically go through and test the settings to make sure that your client will correctly communicate with the new server. Once you see both tasks with a green check mark next to them, and the status says Completed (pictured below). Then you can go ahead, and click on the Close button. This will take you back to the Change account window again:

8 Step 21: Now that we have changed all of the account settings, tested them, and confirmed that they are correct. Now we can go ahead, and click on the Next button in the bottom right hand corner of the Change Account window. Once you click the next button the test account settings box may come up again. That is ok. Just let it run, and it will close on its own. If that window did pop up, and go away you should see the following window: Step 22: Once you have seen the Congratulations! Screen you can go ahead, and click the finish button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Once you ve done that you will be taken back to the Account settings screen. You can go head, and close that window as well. Once that is closed you should have a couple of new Microsoft Outlook Test Messages in your inbox. You can go head, and delete those: Now you should have completed setting up your Microsoft Office Outlook client to work with the new server settings after the migration.
