2 ONE. Lay the Foundation. // GOALS: What are your Social Media goals? Build an audience Market your products Engage with your audience Increase your visibility Provide value Share your personality Other: // BUCKETS: What do you want to be known for? What type of valuable content do you want to share as it relates to your business? (For example, my content buckets are: digital products, productivity/time management, blogging, e-courses, motivation/inspiration.) // PLATFORM(S): What platform(s) do you want to concentrate on? Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google+ YouTube Pinterest Instagram Tumblr Periscope Other Platforms: Jennifer Kennedy Page 2 of 8
3 TWO. Post Partaaay. // POST TYPES: What specific types of posts do you want to share on Social Media? Set a timer for 10 minutes. Brainstorm a list of the types of content you want to share (e.g., quotes, behind-the-scenes, tips, facts, questions, etc.) When you re done, circle the 3-5 types of content you ll commit to posting. Make sure that what you share is in tune with your buckets from part one. Jennifer Kennedy Page 3 of 8
4 THREE. Make the Time. //YOUR SCHEDULE: Alrighty, this is where you sit down and decide when you ll create your posts and when you ll post them! I commit to batching my posts on the following day (circle which day). Once you have a day, stop right here, grab your calendar, and put it in your schedule as a recurring event! MON TUES WED THURS FRI SAT SUN Using your post types from above, create a schedule of what and when you ll post. Below, is a sample of my current schedule (keep in mind that as you study your analytics, you can tweak your schedule accordingly.) MON TUES WED THURS FRI SAT SUN Newest Blog Post Newest Blog Post Newest Blog Post Daily: Share other people s content, Engage in groups and on post comments Weekly: Share Opt-in Offer 2-3 times a week and other promotional images as needed Jennifer Kennedy Page 4 of 8

6 FOUR. Write & Schedule. // CREATE AND AUTOMATE: Based off your post types, take the time on your Social Media Batch day to write all of the content for each category for the week. One: Write your content for the week. I like to use a Google Spreadsheet for mine. Two: Use Canva, to create the graphics for all necessary posts.
7 Three: Schedule and automate for the week. Use your fave tool to schedule your posts (Some great options: CoSchedule, Buffer, Hootsuite, or right inside of Facebook!) Four: Set a daily communication block. My current Social Media block is 45 minutes. Use this time to engage with audience, comment on posts, share content, etc. Communication Block Time: Five: Wash, rinse, repeat. Each week, sit down to write your posts, schedule them, and engage!
