Key Accountabilities Key result area Contract and Third-party Relationship Management Operational and Technical Management Key Accountabilities Relationship Management with Data Centre, Hardware & Software Service providers and Carrier Service providers in order to develop a strong partnership delivering win-win benefits to the Ambulance Victoria business and it s chosen providers. Facilitate the various Provider(s) in order to deliver robust, cost effective and sustainable Data Centre and Network Services to the Ambulance Victoria. Support and enhance IS Operations in order to maintain a competitive service for the Ambulance Victoria business. Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational excellence, optimise operational costs through simplified, documented and repeatable processes and use of new/emerging technologies. Proactively perform Capacity Planning and threshold management across Data Centre infrastructure and recommend growth forecasts for management consideration, including rack space and electrical power. Document and gain CIO sign-off for the Ambulance Victoria IT Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plan. Perform Annual IT Disaster Recovery Testing across the Ambulance Victoria infrastructure and implement service improvement initiatives as a result of DR Test recommendations. Maintain Cabling Standards and up-to-date and accurate Data Centre Cabling/Patching Records across designated Ambulance Victoria sites for all voice and data connectivity. Ensure that the Ambulance Victoria strategic IT Roadmap is implemented for Data Centre operations and projects. Assist in the validation of technical infrastructure design specification against standards and policies to ensure good practice IT infrastructure is in place. Ensure adherence to change control policies and procedure for all activities associated with the data centres. Financial Management Manage projects relating to the delivery of Data Centres Infrastructure including preparation and monitoring of budgets. Business Relationships Single Point of responsibility for Data Centre services for Ambulance Victoria and is a key escalation and compliance point for Ambulance Victoria on matters associated with Data Centres. Engage with the business to better understand the business drivers in order to ensure services delivered align with business needs and expectations. Selection Criteria Qualifications and experience Bachelor of Information Technology, Science or related field Degree. ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate in Service Management PMI or PRINCE 2 Certification Demonstrated experience in a Data Centre management role with hands on knowledge of Servers and midrange infrastructure, voice/data/radio networks, LAN/WAN management, monitoring tools, capacity planning, and disaster recovery/business continuity planning (with some additional cross service line competencies). Proven successful track record in managing end-to-end delivery of the Data Centres and related enterprise infrastructure. Thorough technical understanding of new/emerging Data Centre technologies and the business drivers behind them. Strong market awareness and commercial judgement (able to professionally manage long term external relationships). Key attributes Demonstrated ability to work as a team within all levels of AV Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritise own work and others to ensure projects are delivered to agreed timeframes. Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal communication to effectively gain the acceptance of ideas or plans and the ability to modify the approach to accommodate situations and individuals. Analytical skills and problem solving skills to identify issues explore options and recommend appropriate solutions. Effective written communication skills to ensure the preparation of concise, clear, well structured reports, briefing notes and business cases which are clear, concise and accurate with language used appropriate to the target audience. Desirable skills Ability to manage small to medium-sized projects from scoping to Post Implementation Review.
