Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychologist 1. POSITION JOB TITLE: CAMHS Clinical Psychologist REPORTS TO: Team Leader CAMHS FUNCTION: CAMHS DATE: April 2013 2. PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide a community/outpatient based mental health service (in the Taranaki Region) to children, youth and their families referred to CAMHS. This will include provision of a comprehensive assessment, clinical management plan and ongoing therapeutic intervention. This will be achieved in partnership with the whole family (as appropriate). There will be a need, as appropriate for psychometric testing. This position will sit within and be very much a part of the CAMHS MDT which is aiming to be a centre of excellence within the Specialty CAMHS field. 6. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Education, Skill and Experience Must a registered Clinical Psychologist with a Clinical Psychologist Scope of Practice. Must have at least two years experience in a CAMH service. Preferable post graduate training in Child & Adolescent Mental Health and an understanding or rural mental health issues Skills and experience in use of computer systems, and the Microsoft office suite, internet and email.
