So much to do and see! There is so much to do and see in the Hochkönig area. Hotel Birgkarhaus can provide you with a dedicated event concierge to help you organise a bespoke programme of summer or winter activities - you ll be spoilt for choice. Skiing and Snowboarding The Hochkönig ski area is a white paradise with 33 modern lifts, 120 seamlessly linked kilometres of pistes and our snow and piste experts will ensure your team enjoys a wonderful ski experience. Snow Therapy Snow Therapy offers personal ski instruction for people at any level, so that everyone can enjoy the freedom of the snow. Our instructor is also uniquely qualified in disability and special needs ski instruction and motivation. Summer Tobogganing An exhilarating activity with 61 curves, 1.6km in length, 345 vertical metres and 2 jumps. Hiking In summer, the Hochkönig is a veritable El Dorado for hiking fans. 340 kilometres of clearly marked hiking trails, with all levels of difficulty represented, serve as your gateway to the beautiful mountain massif that surrounds our region. Wire Walking and Climbing We are positioned right next to Hochkönig s most difficult wire walk: the famous Königsjodler. This is a challenging walk for those who are serious about their sport. There are numerous climbing opportunities available in the area both indoor and outdoor. Summer Bootcamps We can organise exclusive bootcamps for you and your guests. These can be adapted to suit any level of fitness. The added bonus of training at an altitude of 1400m is that we can guarantee you will leave fitter and healthier than when you arrived. Golfing The hotel is within easy reach of magnificent golf courses including Zell am See, Maria Alm, Schladming and Radstadt to name a few. Mountain Biking Sporty or leisurely, uphill or downhill, the Hochkönig offers an excellent selection of well-marked trails of varying difficulty, for every bike ability. There are also plenty of bike parks within a short drive of the hotel. Horse Riding Horseback riding through the fairy tale landscapes of the Hochkönig is a popular activity in summer. Sleigh rides can also be arranged in winter. Swimming We have our very own summer swimming lake, which is great for sunbathing and relaxing.
