2 Accommodation in Vancouver The city of Vancouver is one of the most spectacular cities in the world. Located between the Pacific Ocean and the snow-capped Coastal Mountains, Vancouver offers year-round outdoor activities from sailing to snowboarding. Walk along the city beaches and through the forested parks or shop and go to a café along the famous Robson Street. The people in Vancouver are very friendly and love to meet people from all over the world! 3 Accommodation in Vancouver Campus UBC Gage Residence Located amongst hiking trails, shops, and restaurants, UBC Campus is a city in itself. The Residence located directly across from the bus loop that takes students directly to LSI. Each unit has 6 private bedrooms, with a shared living area, kitchen and washroom. There is a television lounge, internet café, lounge areas and fitness facilities. Coin laundry available. Breakfast is included and is taken directly across the street at Pacific Spirit Place. Students are given breakfast tickets at check-in. Linen and towels provided and washed on a weekly basis. An initial key/damage deposit of $50.00 is payable at the beginning of the stay this is refundable when students leave and return the key. *Note: This residence is only available from May to August and students must be at least 19 years of age or older. Residence Hotels YWCA Residence Situated approximately 15 minutes walking distance from LSI. Single and double rooms available; shared bathroom. The residence features internet and kitchen facilities, television and meeting lounges, and a coffee shop. It also has a state-of-the art fitness facility and health and wellness centre that offers pool, aerobics classes, weight room, and other workout facilities. The International Living and Learning Centre and Pitman Hall. Both buildings are on the university s downtown campus, two blocks from the Eaton Centre on Dundas Street East. It is only 4 short subway stops to LSI. The International Living and Learning Centre offers single rooms with private bathrooms and maid service. Linen and towels provided and washed on a weekly basis. Facilities include: Lounge with TV & kitchen on every floor, full access to Ryerson s athletic facilities, laundry service.
