3 Getting there Zell am See, Austria The closest airport to Zell am See is Salzburg, which is approximately 1hr 10 minutes drive from resort. Alternatively you can get the train or bus to Zell am See from Salzburg. There is also the option of flying to Munich daily. Munich is approximately 2.5 hrs drive from Zell am See and there are transfers companies which run a mini bus service to and from. Alternatively you can get the train from the airport to resort which can take approximately 3-4 hours.
