About this Course: This qualification has been designed for workers who complete a wide range of administrative tasks, under direct or indirect supervision. These functions can be carried out in a range of settings, including hospitals, community health centres, private practice, etc. This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding to eligible participants. Entry Requirement: There are no stated entry requirements for this qualification, nor are there any prerequisite competencies for units within this qualification. Students should have a moderate level of computer proficiency particularly in email, internet and Microsoft word; with a basic knowledge of excel and power point. This will enable students to undertake assessments and assessment activities with ease. Certificate III in Health Administration is an ideal entry point for staff new to health care clinics or those wishing to formalise their experience. Course Structure Attainment of this qualification requires the successful completion of 15 units of competency: 5 core units 10 elective units An overview of each unit can be found on the following pages. If there is a specific training need you would like addressed which is not covered, please speak with the Training & Development Coordinator. Duration: This course has a nominal duration of 10 months. Dates for each unit will be set at the commencement of the training. Units that require a workplace assessment visit will be arranged with your trainer at a mutually convenient time. HLTIN301C Comply with infection control policies and procedures This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required for workers to comply with infection control policies and procedures.
