The rle hlder will determine and lead the institutin s digital strategy that will shape the develpment f the University s T prvisin, estate and academic envirnment t supprt the highest quality prvisin fr learning, teaching and research fr staff and students. As a member f the University s xecutive Bard, the xecutive Directr will supprt the Vice Chancellr in the develpment and implementatin f the University strategy. DUTS AND RSPONSBLTS: 1. Shape and implement University-level strategic prjects and crprate change initiatives that enhance the University s distinctive missin and which anticipate/respnd t external pprtunities and emerging challenges, including: frmulating and priritising the prtfli f institutinal initiatives t be driven frward; determining an annual prgramme f strategic prjects and business prcess reengineering; re-designing structures and systems t enhance the University s peratinal agility, capacity and capability;
establishing a University Prject Office; identifying resurce allcatin and investment requirements t supprt crprate change; engaging with staff t effect change, including leading task-fcussed prject teams t implement new plicies r deliver strategic bjectives; prviding financial and risk management versight fr crprate change prjects. 2. Determine, shape and implement a Digital Strategy fr the University that encmpasses ur ways f wrking and the future business mdel t underpin ur cre learning, teaching and research activities. 3. Develp and deliver a culture f innvatin supprting new incme streams and making a significant cntributin t the sustainability f the University. T include: delivering entrepreneurial and enterprising initiatives that add value, revenue and richness t the University and t enhance its reputatin; identifying apprpriate new areas f wrk and evaluating their viability and ptential impact including digital develpments; directing seed funding fr new ideas; verseeing the University s innvatin hub, ispace; prmting pen innvatin and supprting the develpment f innvatin skills; prviding insight in natinal and lcal develpments relevant t Higher ducatin, cmmunity develpments, scial innvatin and learning agendas t enhance the student and staff experience. 4. Take executive respnsibility fr key peratins, including Strategic Prjects, nfrmatin Learning Services, states, and Student Recruitment & Marketing, ensuring streamlined and cst effective delivery. T include: establishing clear perfrmance targets and bjectives aligned t the delivery f university strategy; shaping plans fr future service develpment in the light f institutinal bjectives fr research, teaching, the student experience and business efficiency; ensuring a culture f cntinuus imprvement is embedded within the University s activities; stimulating innvative appraches t addressing increasing demand n services and facilities; line managing direct reprts, including setting bjectives, mnitring perfrmance and supprting their persnal and prfessinal develpment, including develpment f leadership skills; establishing and chairing executive management grups fr key peratins. 5. Act as xecutive lead fr develpment f the University s student recruitment and marketing strategies; including traditinal and digital media, t deliver smart grwth in ur undergraduate, pstgraduate taught, pstgraduate research and internatinal student ppulatin and supprt the develpment f new markets fr delivery f ur academic and business educatin prtfli.

Act as executive lead fr the develpment and enhancement f the University estate and maintain versight f capital prjects and space management activities t ensure that the quality f ur physical infrastructure reflects and enhances ur academic reputatin. 7. Act as executive lead fr the develpment f ur infrmatin and learning services strategies t include: Library and learning resurces nterprise-wide T architecture and services 8. Be utward facing and develp and maintain cntacts with gvernment and with ther educatinal bdies, leveraging netwrks and cntacts t influence partnership develpment. 9.
