2 SECTION B: JOB PURPOSE, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST B.1 JOB PURPOSE The purpse f the pst f the Executive Directr: Land, Prperty and Asset is t strategically direct and manage the prvisin f land, asset and prperty management, and gegraphic infrmatin and valuatin services t the Municipality, including: Being administratively in charge f the planning, develpment, executin and maintenance f land management, asset management, prperty management, gegraphic infrmatin and valuatin services in the City. Assisting the accunting fficer and the Deputy City Manager: Built Envirnment t carry ut his r her financial management respnsibilities (in line with delegatins), in areas ranging frm budget preparatin t financial reprting and the develpment and maintenance f internal cntrl plicies and prcedures. Implementing relevant delivery appraches refrms at the directin f the Deputy City Manager: Built Envirnment with the assistance f apprpriately skilled staff. T undertake specific respnsibilities as a member f the tp management team. Degree in Business Science r a B.Sc. Degree in the building envirnment A minimum f eight years experience at senir management level * At least three years senir management experience in a metr r medium-sized municipality r similar public sectr envirnment * Prven experience at senir management level in at least tw f the fllwing sectrs: land management, prperty management, GIS and valuatin services * Prven experience in the develpment and implementatin f by-laws and plicies relevant t the afrementined sectrs * Prven prject management skills * Experience in industrial relatins and the management f large teams in the built envirnment.
