The Directr f Cntracting and Perfrmance hlds verall respnsibility fr the fllwing prtfli: Develp an verarching cntracting strategy that interprets and incrprates CCG cmmissining intentins and QIPP Plans, supprting delivery f transfrmatin and service redesign initiatives. Lead n all cntracting activity as part f key relatinship management, perfrmance management and risk management rle wrking with a wide range and variety f NHS including Fundatin Trusts. Lead all prvider management services; ensuring prviders deliver t agreed cntracts and t financial, quality and perfrmance requirements. Wrk with the Directr f Strategy and lead n the develpment f new cntracting mdels t supprt the mve t Whle Systems Integrated Care. Wrk cllabratively with Senir Team members and champin the eths f a clinically led cmmissining grup.

2 Direct management and leadership acrss a range f teams and cntracts f influence acrss the CCG s, including and nt limited t all majr acute, cmmunity and mental health cntracts. Key activities and respnsibilities Rle Specific Respnsibilities/key activities - T lead the cntract prtfli acrss Nrth West Lndn, with a cmbined value in excess f 1.7 bn, n behalf f the 8 CCGs. This includes: - Supprt f the develpment f cmmissining intentins, and advise hw these can be successfully negtiated int cntracts - Develp the cntracting strategy in respnse t the cmmissining intentins - Develp negtiatin strategies fr each cntract - Manage the cntracting rund prcess - Lead cntract negtiatin teams - Achieve signed cntracts within timescales and financial envelpes - Manage the in-year cntract gvernance prcess - Ensure the realisatin f negtiated benefits and expected utcmes - Manage cntracts within the agreed financial envelpes - Manage prvider perfrmance against all natinal and lcal targets - Liaise with CSUs wh lead n ut f area cntracts fr the CCGs t ensure that they are rbustly negtiated and managed and that NWL CCG intentins are reflected in cntracts and delivered - Prvide prfessinal leadership, technical advice and supprt t the devlved cntracting and perfrmance staff within the CCGs Prvide a rbust perfrmance management functin t mnitr, sustain and imprve prvider perfrmance against agreed natinal and lcal targets. Specifically, this will invlve: - Ensure that all prviders sustain delivery against all relevant natinal standards - Prvide peer supprt and cnstructive challenge t prviders regarding perfrmance and ffer benchmarking data as apprpriate - Identify early warning f risk against natinal targets supprted by defined triggers t enable early interventin as apprpriate - Prvide expert supprt in the develpment f Pressure Surge Assurance, planning e.g. winter planning, and identify risk in regard t specific prviders t supprt system management by CCGs fr acute, cmmunity and mental health prviders within NWL; - Manage the winter assurance prcess fr acute, cmmunity and mental health prviders - Ensure that an apprpriate actin plan is develped and implemented in respnse t risk identified by the Pressure Surge Assurance prcess Wrk with the Directr f Transfrmatin and Strategy, lead the develpment f new cntracting mdels t supprt the mve t Whle Systems Integrated Care. Ensure the cntractual prtfli prmtes integrated cmmissining and further strategic develpments like Shaping a Healthier Future. Lead the develpment f the cntracting and perfrmance directrate thrugh sharing best practice and knwledge f markets/industries t infrm and imprve the

3 cntracting and market management functin and prmte best practice. Lead n the cmmissining f Lndn Ambulance Services acrss Lndn, n behalf f all Lndn CCGs. Respnsible fr ensuring the CCGs are aware, and stay up-t-date with, natinal and reginal develpments in cmmissining and ensure they take steps t respnd as required. Ensure that the CCGs have, and prmte the relevant plicies which meet NHS and statutry requirements. Ensure rbust mechanisms fr cntinuus peratinal and business imprvement prcesses are in place. Practively engage and build relatinships with the CCGs, prvider trusts and key stakehlders. Act as a full member f the CCG Executive Management Teams. Manage, mtivate and inspire team members, investing time in their develpment. Build and maintain an effective and functinally flexible team and prvide effective line management t direct reprts. Lead by example in rder t engender behaviurs that give cnsistent expressin t the CCGs values and t ensure C&P staff behaviurs reflect these values. Prmte a learning culture that encurages the use f initiative and supprts persnal and team develpment thrugh team and individual perfrmance appraisal and review, evaluatin and evidence-based examples f gd practice. Build effective relatinships with clleagues at all levels thrugh pen cmmunicatin and cnstructive feedback. Practively manage pr perfrmance, grievance and disciplinary issues in a sensitive and prfessinal manner. Develp a cntinuus perfrmance imprvement culture and systems s that imprved utcmes are pursued and any underperfrmance is tackled in a prprtinate, timely fashin.
