Principal Duties Under the directin and n behalf f the GHS Bard, the Deputy Directr General will: Wrk clsely with the Headquarters and Reginal Directrs t develp a strategic directin fr the GHS and lead the creatin f a strng rganisatin with a cherent lng term health strategy fr the prvisin f health care services and deliver wider health imprvement within all regins. Wrk with the Directr General t ensure the effective wrking and develpment f the GHS Executive Cmmittee and Bard. Be respnsible fr the peratinal functin f the service. 4

8 Lead the develping f a Mdernisatin Prgramme reflecting the health status and the health needs f the ppulatin. Ensure that budgeting and financial systems are sund and in accrdance with GHS financial instructins. Maintain financial cntrl within allcated resurces. Ensure the develpment f a financial risk plan and frward financial strategy fr the GHS with a fcus n financial sustainability and advcacy/demnstratin f the GHS belw capitatin and high deprivatin status. Ensure the mnitring f perfrmance against service agreements with GHS agencies and ther prviders. Ensure the preparatin f perfrmance management reprts as required, including annual reprts and annual accunts. Ensure a strng and effective framewrk f crprate gvernance including risk, clinical gvernance, cntrls assurance, health and safety, etc. Wrk in partnership with ther agencies t secure the wider health f the ppulatin. Develp clser integratin f primary and cmmunity health services and ensure clser wrking with ther agencies n bth planning and delivery.
