S E C T I ON 1 Installing the Kaltura Vide Package 4.0 fr Mdle This dcument details the steps required t install and upgrade the Kaltura Vide Package 4.0 fr Mdle. If yu are upgrading frm Kaltura Vide Package 3.0, fllw the instructins in the Upgrading frm Kaltura Vide Package fr Mdle Versin 3.0 t 4.0 sectin. S E C T I ON 2 Installatin Prcess T install the Kaltura Vide Package 4.0 Dwnlad the latest Kaltura Vide Package t yur Mdle rt directry frm here. Unzip the Kaltura Vide Package. Brwse t the Mdle hme screen and click Cntinue t install the Kaltura Vide Package. Installatin is prcessed. When finished, the Cntinue buttn is displayed. Installatin Prcess Click 'Save changes'. Verify that the Kaltura credentials were entered crrectly by clicking n 'Plug-ins' > 'Lcal Plug-ins' > Kaltura Package Libraries'. Be certain that 'Successfully lgged in with credentials' is displayed under the Cnnectin status heading. Set Up the Filter Plug-in T set up the filter plug in After the installatin is cmplete, navigate t Plug-ins Filters Manage Filters. Enable the Kaltura Media filter and click the Settings link. Installatin Prcess Click Save. Adding the Att Text Editr T add the Kaltura embed buttn t the Att text editr (Mdle 2.8 and later) Lgin as administratr. G t Site administratin Plugins Text editrs Att HTML editr Att tlbar settings. Under Tlbar cnfig, add kalturamedia t any f the buttn grups. Fr example: The Embed Kaltura Vide is added t the Att editr. S E C T I ON 3 Upgrading frm Kaltura Vide Package fr Mdle Versin 3.0 t 4.0 IMPORTANT NOTE: If upgrading the client's site: Yu must have Kaltura release 3.1.02 (RL: 2.6.1.1) (2014010901 r 2014102105) fr Mdle 2.5 r Kaltura release 3.1.02 (RL: 2.5.1.7) (2013071808 r 2014102106) fr Mdle 2.6. See Verify the Kaltura Vide Package Versin n Mdle fr details. Befre Yu Begin Yu must perfrm the fllwing tasks befre upgrading t the Kaltura Vide Package fr Versin 4.0.t successfully upgrade the sftware. T begin the upgrade prcess Create a backup f yur Mdle 3.0 database. Disable the Kaltura repsitry plugin. a. Lgin as administratr. b. G t Settings Site Administratin Plugins Manage repsitries. c. Upgrading frm Kaltura Vide Package fr Mdle Versin 3.0 t 4.0 Delete the fllwing flders frm the Mdle flder: lcal/kaltura lcal/mymedia md/kalvidres md/kalvidpres md/kalvidassign repsitry/kaltura filter/kaltura Knwn Issues and Limitatin fr Migratin Entries shared with multiple curses in V3 may nt be migrated prperly when running n PHP versins belw 5.3.29. Vide presentatin resurces may be migrated incrrectly if the vide was als added via TinyMCE. Yu may need t exceed the KMC 32 categry limitatin during migratin. The limitatin may be enabled r disabled by Kaltura Custmer Care nly. Please cntact Kaltura Custmer Care t temprarily disable the 32 categry limitatin t allw the migratin t cmplete successfully. Yu will need t schedule a dwn time fr all ther nn KAF applicatins assciated with the same partner Id t perfrm the migratin. See Installatin Prcess, and use yur current Kaltura credentials. Click Upgrade Mdle database nw t install the new package. Review the upgraded mdules and click Cntinue : After the upgrade cmpletes, insert the KAF URI in the Kaltura package libraries cnfiguratin. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please make sure the KAF URI des nt include http:// prefix and that it des nt end with any trailing slashes ( / ).fr example: http://12345678.kaf.kaltura.cm and 12345678.kaf.kaltura.cm/ are wrng examples. Make sure yur accunt details appear crrectly: T start the migratin f cntent, click n the link at the bttm f the Kaltura package libraries page: On the Data migratin page select a KAF categry t migrate t and click Start. This shuld be the categry selected n yur KAF instance. Fr mre details, please refer t the Kaltura Vide Plugin V4 fr Mdle Setup Guide. Upgrading frm Kaltura Vide Package fr Mdle Versin 3.0 t 4.0 Pst-upgrade Ensure all f yur assignments, vide resurces and presentatins are lcated in the crrect curses and that all f the vides play withut any issues. Ensure vide assignments grades are kept intact. Cntent Migratin V3 entries that were shared with the site will be transferred t Shared Repsitry categry. V3 entries that were shared with curse will be transferred t Kaltura Media Gallery f the specific curse. V3 entries that were added by a specific user will be displayed n user s My Media page n V4. Kaltura vide resurces / assignments / presentatins will be available at the same path they were n V3. Users, credentials and curses names will stay the same as they were n V3. Verify the Kaltura Vide Package Versin n Mdle T verify the Kaltura Vide Package Versin n Mdle Lg int yur Mdle site as an administratr. G t the plugins verview page (Site administratin Plugins Plugins verview). Upgrading frm Kaltura Vide Package fr Mdle Versin 3.0 t 4.0 Mandatry Steps t Perfrm n the KAF Admin Cnsle T access yur KAF instance Admin Cnsle frm within yur Mdle site G t Site administratin Plugins Lcal plugins Kaltura package libraries and clicking the URL at tp f the page: After installing/upgrading the Kaltura Vide Package fr Mdle yu will need t specify the rt categry yu created under the Categries mdule. Mdule Fields Descriptin Categries rtcategry Select the categry yu created in the KMC. NOTE: The rt categry shuld nt be changed after the plugin is cnfigured. It is kay t change the name f the rt categry frm the KMC. It will autmatically update in the KAF Admin Cnsle. Be certain that the sharedrepsitrycategryid field is updated in the Hsted mdule.
