A Fuller s Ale and Pie House The Old Bank of England is situated in a unique palatial building offering insight into a past and affluent era. As such The Old Bank of England offers a full range of Fuller s award winning beers including London Pride, Chiswick, Discovery and ESB on draught. Weddings at the Old Bank of England The Old Bank of England is closed at weekends and as such is available for private hire on Saturdays. We can accommodate receptions of up to 300 guests. The layout of the pub is ideally suited for weddings based around buffets or canapé receptions rather than large formal dining as an island bar is situated in the centre of the pub. Formal dining can of course be accommodated for. We have a 12am license on Saturdays.
The Club and Dining Rooms The Club and Dining Rooms open as one room and can accommodate a formal wedding breakfast for up to 40 guests. These rooms do not have speakers and as such are ideal for those wishing a quieter area for conversation away from the music in the bar. They have also been used in the past as a crèche for those with small children, away from the noise of the rest of the celebrations. They can also be utilized for buffets.
The Gallery This area is on the mezzanine level and overlooks the bar providing a great vantage point from which to make speeches or watch the celebrations. The scale of the main room lends itself well to this without the need for P.A. systems This area is best used a buffet location. Alternatively it can be used for formal dining for up to 16 guests.
The Back Area A large area separated from the main bar by pillars. This area can seat up to 35 for formal dining, on separate tables ranging from 4-8 covers. In the evening this area is best suited for those guests wishing for a quieter area whilst maintaining the atmosphere and buzz of the main bar area.
The Walled Courtyard Although close to the West End and on the edge of the City, The Old Bank of England enjoys the benefit of a large private external courtyard with tables and chairs for up to 50 people. It is bathed in sun throughout the afternoon during the summer months. With smoking laws in force, this area is furnished with a large umbrella and will be a comfortable, added facility for those guests who smoke.
Other Information Decoration When holding your wedding reception at The Old Bank of England, you may wish to decorate it with flowers. If you can arrange with your florist to deliver the flowers prior to your reception we would be happy to lay these out as you wish. Food The Old Bank of England benefits from an experienced brigade of chefs. They are able to provide a varied menu from reception canapés, buffets and traditional pub food to more a la carte options. Sample menus are included in this pack. Please note that prices and items may vary. Possible Options Canapé receptions: with circulated food for your guests to enjoy without breaking off from conversation. Wedding Breakfasts: with traditional pub food such as homemade pies, market vegetables and potatoes. Hot and cold buffets with salads, hot and cold meat dishes can also be prepared. As illustrated, all options can be considered so please let us know your ideas.
Beverages We can provide drinks to suit your requirements from Champagne reception to mulled wine in the winter months. Talk to us about your ideas and leave the rest to us. An open bar can be an ideal way to ensure your guests enjoy your celebrations with their favourite drink. With a wide selection of lagers, bitters, wines and spirits we are able to accommodate most tastes. Children Children are welcome for weddings at weekends and special menus can be created for them. Other Arrangements Flowers, cake and any other items required for the reception can be delivered at your convenience. We have ample storage and are happy to store items both prior to the reception. Access on the day can be arranged for flowers, decorations, DJ etc. Booking Requirements To confirm a booking we require a 750 deposit upon making the booking and 3500 minimum spend for finger buffet receptions and 4000 minimum spend for sit down meals. In the event of a cancellation the deposit is non refundable once paid. One week prior to the reception all food must be paid for in full.

Notes to the Couple 1. All accounts are payable in full on the day or prior to the wedding. 2. Final numbers attending a function should be confirmed not less than 1 month prior to the date of the function. 3.
