President s Scholarship MASKED Gala 12th annual Mankind Assisting Students Kindle Educational Dreams Masked Gala Information The 12th Annual President's Scholarship Masked Gala is one of Austin s signature fundraising galas and premier social events. Founded 12 years ago by name, the Gala is hosted by local corporate sponsors. Its purpose is to involve celebrities, dignitaries, civic leaders, volunteers, public officials and other supporters in the President's Scholarship for Huston-Tillotson University. Call for Nominations Tower of Light Community Service Award Submission deadline Thursday, December 4, 2014 Winner will be recognized at the Masked Gala on Saturday, March 7, 2015 The Tower of Light Award is in recognition of individuals, corporations, and/or organizations that are a guiding support to the University and young people pursuing the dream of a college degree. This award is presented in recognition of community contributions, service, civic engagement, leadership efforts, mentoring initiatives, and career contributions. HT Mission As an historically black institution, Huston-Tillotson University s mission is to provide opportunities to a diverse population for academic achievement with an emphasis on academic excellence, spiritual and ethical development, civic engagement, and leadership in a nurturing environment.
