For those who need more than short-term counseling, Kids in Crisis offers its two emergency shelters in Cos Cob, both licensed by the State of Connecticut: the Crisis Nursery for infants and young children and the Teen House for adolescents. These homes, complete with a fully-staffed, state-of-the-art medical clinic, provide therapeutic care in a safe, nurturing environment for up to 20 children at any one time. Mix and Mingle with Special Guests! David Gagnon has been teaching the game professionally since 1994 and is a PGA Member. He is well known for his ability to communicate the appropriate thoughts and ideas to his students which leads to success. He believes the most important aspect of teaching the game is its not what to do but how to do it. His extraordinary ability to come up with new and different ways to get his students to move effectively is renowned. Believing that you should never stop educating yourself has resulted in him spending time with and learning from some of the games visionaries such as Mark Sweeney of Golf Channel s AIM POINT green reading school. Being a solid player as well also allows him to compete regularly in such tournaments as the Metropolitan Open and the New York and Connecticut State Open s. David s instructional articles have been published in magazines such as the Suburban Golfer1991. Debbie Doniger grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut and was a student of Jim McLean for 20 years. As a junior and an amateur, Debbie won every New York Metropolitan tournament in the Met area. Named the top Smith Corona Academic All America for the AJGA, Debbie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was captain of the golf team her junior and senior years. She led the Tar Heels to an ACC Championship in 1992, won the ACC Championship, and was elected All-Conference. She also led her team to an 8th place finish in the NCAA Championship. Debbie was one of five college seniors selected to represent the United States in The World University Golf Matches, where she won the individual Bronze medal - the only American to medal in the competition. After graduating, Debbie competed on The Futures Tour and The Gold Coast Tour. She also qualified in 1993 as the low American on The European Tour. In 2004, Debbie was inducted into the ACC Hall of Fame as one of the best women golfers in the ACC for the last 50 years.

Kevin Michael Shattenkirk (born January 29, 1989) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played for the Colorado Avalanche, the team that drafted him in the first round, 14th overall, at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Shattenkirk was born in Greenwich, Connecticut, but grew up in New Rochelle, New York Ryan Shannon was raised in Darien, Connecticut, where he played youth hockey and then later attended Taft School and Boston College. He went on to win the 2007 Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks. Shannon was named to Team USA for the 2009 World Championships in Switzerland and to Team USA for the 2011 World Championships in Slovakia. Shannon is currently playing for the ZSC Lions of the Swiss National League A (NLA).
