Cmpatible with all Dmestic and Mr. Slim mdels cmmercialized by MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC. Main features: Reduced dimensins, quick installatin. Multiple bjects fr cntrl and status (bit, byte, characters ) with KNX standard datapint types. Status bjects fr every cntrl available. Timeut fr Open Windw and Occupancy. Sleep functin als available. Cntrl f the AC unit based in the ambient temperature read by the wn AC unit, r in the ambient temperature read by any KNX thermstat. AC unit can be cntrlled simultaneusly by the IR remte cntrl f the AC unit and by KNX. In the cntrl bard lcate the scket cnnectr marked as: CN92 r CN105 in Mr. Slim mdels. in rest f mdels. Using the cable that cmes with the interface, insert ne f its cnnectrs, the ne installed in the shrtest uncvered part, int the scket f the ME-AC-KNX-1i marked as AC Unit, and the ther cnnectr, the ne in the largest uncvered part, int the scket CN92 r CN105 f the AC unit's cntrl bard. Fix the ME-AC-KNX-1i inside r utside the AC indr unit depending n yur needs, remember that ME-AC-KNX-1i must be als cnnected t the KNX bus. Clse the AC indr unit's frnt cver again. Imprtant: D nt mdify the length f the cable supplied with the interface, it may affect t the crrect peratin f the interface Cnnectin f the interface t the KNX bus: Discnnect pwer f the KNX bus. Cnnect the interface t the KNX TP-1 (EIB) bus using the KNX standard cnnectr (red/grey) f the interface, respect plarity. Recnnect pwer f the KNX bus. ETS database fr this device can be dwnladed frm: http://www.intesis.cm/dwn/eib/me-ac-knx-1i.zip Please cnsult the README.txt file, lcated inside the dwnladed zip file, t find instructins n hw t install the database. Imprtant: D nt frget t select the crrect settings f AC indr unit being cnnected t the ME-AC-KNX-1i. This is in "Parameters" f the device in ETS. ETS Parameters When imprted t the ETS sftware fr the first time, the gateway shws the fllwing default parameter cnfiguratin: Figure 4.1 Default parameter cnfiguratin With this cnfiguratin it s pssible t send On/Off (Cntrl_ On/Off), change the AC Mde (Cntrl_ Mde), the Fan Speed (Cntrl_ Fan Speed) and als the Setpint Temperature (Cntrl_ Setpint Temperature). The Status_ bjects, fr the mentined Cntrl_ bjects, are als available t use if needed. Als bjects Status_ AC Return Temp and Status_ Errr/Alarm are shwn. The first field shws the where t dwnlad the database and the user manual fr the prduct. 4.1.1 Send READs fr Cntrl_ bjects n bus recvery When this parameter is enabled, ME-AC-KNX-1i will send READ egrams fr the grup addresses assciated n its Cntrl_ bjects n bus recvery r applicatin reset/start-up. If set t n the gateway will nt perfrm any actin. If set t yes all Cntrl_ bjects with bth Transmit (T) and Update (U) flags enabled will send READs and their values will be updated with the respnse when received. Delay befre sending READs (sec): Figure 4.3 Parameter detail With this parameter, a delay can be cnfigured between 0 and 30 secnds fr the READs sent by the Cntrl_ bjects. This is t give time enugh t ther KNX devices n the bus t start-up befre sending the READs. 4.1.2 Scene t lad n bus recvery / startup This parameter executes a selected scene n bus recvery r startup, nly if the selected scene has an enabled preset r values previusly saved frm KNX bus (see Scene Cnfiguratin dialg). If the gateway is discnnected frm the indr unit the scene will nt be applied, even when cnnecting t the indr unit again. Figure 4.4 Parameter detail 4.1.3 Disallw cntrl frm remte cntrller This parameter allws: 1- Having the remte cntrller always lcked, r 2- Decide thrugh a new cmmunicatin bject if the RC is lcked r nt. If set t yes all the actins perfrmed thrugh the remte cntrller will be disabled. Figure 4.5 Cmmunicatin bject and parameter detail Enable cmm bj Ctrl_ Remte Lck : If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. If set t yes the Cntrl_ Lck Remte Cntrl bject will appear. When a 1 value is sent t this cmmunicatin bject, the remte cntrller is lcked. T be unlcked a 0 value must be sent. The gateway remembers the last value received even if a KNX bus reset/failure happens. Imprtant: If an initial scene is enabled and it has as Value fr Remte Lck (unchanged) r unlcked, this wuld unlck the remte cntrller because the initial scene has pririty ver the Cntrl_ Lck Remte Cntrl cmmunicatin bject. 4.1.4 Enable func Cntrl_ Lck Cntrl Obj This parameter shws/hide the Cntrl_ Lck Cntrl Obj cmmunicatin bject which, depending n the sent value, lcks r unlcks ALL the Cntrl_ cmmunicatin bjects except itself. If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. If set t yes the Cntrl_ Lck Cntrl Objects bject will appear. When a 1 value is sent t this cmmunicatin bject, all the Cntrl_ bjects will be lcked. T unlck a 0 value must be sent, as the gateway remembers the last value received even if a KNX bus reset/failure happens. 4.1.5 Enable func Operating Hurs Cunter This parameter shws/hides the Status_ Operatin Hur Cunter cmmunicatin bject which cunts the number f perating hurs fr the ME-AC-KNX-1i. If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. The gateway keeps that cunt in memry and the status is sent als after a KNX bus reset/failure. Althugh this bject is marked as a Status_ bject it als can be written t update the cunter when needed. T reset the cunter shuld be written a 0 value. Imprtant: This bject cmes by default withut the write (W) flag activated. If is necessary t write n it, this flag must be activated. Imprtant: This bject will als return its status, every time a value is written, nly if it s different frm the existing ne. Imprtant: If the stred value is 0 hurs, the gateway will nt send the status t KNX. 4.1.6 Enable bject Errr Cde [2byte] This parameter shws/hides the Status_ Errr Cde cmmunicatin bject which shws the indr unit errrs, if ccurred, in numeric frmat. If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. If set t yes the Status_ Errr Cde [2byte] bject will appear. This bject can be read and als sends the indr unit errr, if ccurred, in numeric frmat. If a 0 value is shwn that means n errr. 4.1.7 Enable bject Errr Text Cde [14byte] This parameter shws/hides the Status_ Errr Text Cde cmmunicatin bject which shws the indr unit errrs, if ccurred, in text frmat. If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. If set t yes the Status_ Errr Text Cde bject will appear. This bject can be read and als sends the indr unit errr, if ccurred, in text frmat. The errrs shwn have the same frmat as at the remte cntrller and at the errr list frm the indr unit manufacturer. If the bject s value is empty that means n errr. The byte-type cmmunicatin bject fr Mde wrks with the DTP_20.105. Aut mde will be enabled with a 0 value, Heat mde with a 1 value, Cl mde with a 3 value, Fan mde with a 9 value and Dry mde with a 14 value. 4.2.1 Indr unit has FAN mde This parameter has t be used t indicate if the indr unit has the fan mde available. If set t n, the indr unit desn t have the fan mde available. If set t yes, the infr unit has the fan mde available. Imprtant: Read the dcumentatin f yur indr unit t check if it has FAN mde available. 4.2.2 Enable use f Heat / Cl bit-type bj This parameter shws/hides the Cntrl_ and Status_ Mde Cl/Heat cmmunicatin bjects. If set t n the bjects will nt be shwn. If set t yes the Cntrl_ and Status_ Mde Cl/Heat bjects will appear.
