2014 SPONSORSHIP, LEARNING LOUNGE TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATION BOOTHS & COMMERCIAL SESSION PROSPECTUS The PCMA Canada East Chapter Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the Chapter will be hosting its Second Annual Canadian Innovation Conference, Powered by PCMA on November 23-25, 2014. The conference will be held at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, Montréal, Quebec. The conference goal is to draw between 300-400 meeting and event planner and supplier professionals from across the country. The last conference attracted 250 attendees and achieved a 43:57 Planner to Supplier ratio. Further, the Planner attendee make-up featured some of the most senior planners in the country. The PCMA Canada East Chapter is aiming to have the educational program posted and registration open by mid May 2014. The objective will be to keep registration fees as low as possible through partnerships with various sponsors across Canada, ensuring the conference is accessible to the majority of planners and suppliers. This regional conference will be an excellent opportunity for meeting professionals and suppliers whose employers will not fund out-of-country educational conferences. The majority of sessions feature Canadian content and all conference sessions earn attendees Continuing Education Credits. We will also be running the Supplier Challenge again, to ensure a high number of quality planners are invited to attend. The Planning Committee is being Co-Chaired by Heidi Welker, Freeman Audio Visual, and Chuck Schouwerwou, CMP, CMM, ConferSense Planners Inc. PCMA members plan on average 34 meetings per year. Almost 30% of PCMA planners annual conferences result in more than $5 million in economic value.
