HR INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST 1. PURPOSE OF POSITION The HR Information Systems Analyst supports the strategic and operational functions of the HR Team through the timely provision of information, reporting and analysis. This position is responsible for managing system administration and to identify and support the implementation of process improvements relating to HR Systems. 2. 5. ACCOUNTABILITIES Key area of responsibility 1. Reporting Supports the strategic and operational functions of the HR Team through the timely provision of information, reporting and analysis 2. HR System Administration Undertake system administration to ensure all HRIS systems are accurate and meet the needs of the workforce 3. Customer Service Ensure a professional quality customer service is provided to all customers Expected outcomes Provision of the HR KPI suite of workforce reports Provision of regular and adhoc reporting Provision of cost modelling for HR Team Specific report development and analysis for projects supporting workforce development and system improvements Respond to requests for statistical data from external sources. Actions and investigates specific audit programmes Undertakes data testing and quality assurance of HR data within the HR systems Identification and development of new reports and information collection procedures Participation in regional/national workforce and HRIS system related projects as required. Develop and maintain documentation for the systems and procedures Complete regular audits of HRIS systems and processes Understand and manage the integration relationships between the HRIS systems and other systems Build and maintain strong relationships with IT, payroll and other key teams to ensure processes are efficient Build and maintain relationships with external providers to ensure system issues and development are effectively managed Provide Training to HR Team, managers and other users (where applicable) on HR systems and processes Ensure systems are in place to deal with queries promptly and effectively Provide effective support and management information to customers as required Advocate and demonstrate a high standard of customer service at all times Ensure staff are informed of changes to HRIS systems and procedures as appropriate Participates in quality activities including accreditation Organisational Accountabilities Expected Outcome for all employees Treaty of Waitangi The Taranaki District Health Board embraces the three principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. 8. EDUCATION Ideally a tertiary qualification with a relevant business analysis, information of computing major or equivalent level of learning through experience 9. SKILLS Strong analytical skills Exceptional Excel skills Strong skills working with relational databases Excellent communication skills and the ability to present data to meet the needs of the audience Ability to relate and communicate effectively in both the technical and business settings Ability to manage multiple priorities, be flexible and have excellent time management. High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills 10. EXPERIENCE Ideally experience in the New Zealand health sector Experience working in a Human Resources or Payroll environment Experience in applications support, analysis and testing. Ideally two or more years experience working as a reporting analyst Experience in roles that require strategic and analytical thinking in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
