1 POSITION DESCRIPTION Job Title: Digital Content Administrator 0.5 FTE fixed term Work Unit: Responsible To: Responsible For: Digital Team Digital Platform Manager Implementation of the overall Social Media Strategy. Responsible for delivering upon the metrics assigned to each channel within the social media domain. Control, design, source, write, develop, edit and publish content that engages and enrols external stakeholders in the DHB websites and key social media channels. Implement an engagement strategy (within social media) to stimulate conversation with new and existing health consumers, and external influencers and stakeholders (engage in online conversations on behalf of BoPDHB). Manage brand reputation and customer satisfaction in the online space. Provide administrative support to the Digital Platform Manager for project work. Position Purpose: This job exists to: Implement the online editorial policy The creation and acquisition of verbal content (primarily textual but also audio and moving images) Implementation the overall Social Media Strategy Provide advice and support to the wider DHB as well as communications, print and web staff. Alert digital platform manager if external support is required. Share responsibility for departmental reporting. Educate wider DHB staff in online and social processes and best practise Date: October 2013

3 The requirements in the above Key Achievement Areas are broadly identified below: Job holder is accountable for Coordination and Planning Content Creation / Maintenance and editorial control Promotion Communication Evaluation Help develop the digital/social strategy and align it to tactical plans Description summary Schedule the creation/acquisition of content in accordance with the editorial policy Provide accurate and timely project administration support to the Digital Platform Manager. Manage the creation/acquisition of content in accordance with the schedule Prepare textual content for websites (including feature articles, database content, links FAQ s etc), Specify the multimedia content needed to support or work alongside textual content, locate and select appropriate existing multimedia content, create any new multimedia content required. Prepare textual content for e-newsletters, Edit copy received from additional content contributors, including using metadata and other methods to optimise search engine position Update and maintain content and calendars - Day-to-day active participation in conversations in social media (in line with guidelines) Developing relationships with key influencers in social media threats in the space Use the knowledge and experience gained to participate in and influence ongoing campaign activity Establishing and developing processes to improve efficiency and the quality of dialogue Proactively start conversations around key issues and key events Daily and weekly reporting to relevant stakeholders, including tracking to core performance metrics Build relationships with key stakeholders Apply metadata and other methods to optimise search engine position Apply linking strategy Respond to user enquiries, comments and suggestions Moderate forums Edit and or approve content contributions Conduct or commission ongoing audience research Compile and analyse website usage statistics Obtain and analyse user feedback Recommend changes to content strategy, editorial policy and site design Champion of all things social and digital throughout the organisation. Maintain strategic focus with a drive for results using analytics and market intelligence from conversation data to identify opportunities and key influencers. Page 3 of 5

A good network of connections and some level of trust and influence Exceptional written communication skills across online platforms Experience building relationships online Sound understanding of the implications of online content in search engines and SEO.
