RTO Code: 2353 TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Duration 8 Months Format Face to Face Pre-Requisites No Funding No Description This qualification is a requirement of the Australian Quality Training Framework Essential Standards for Registration. It gives learners a wide range of practical tools to use in designing, delivering and evaluating training and assessment in the vocational education and training (VET) sector including: planning, preparing, delivering and evaluating training for individuals and groups presentation skills unpacking training packages working within the VET framework designing and contextualising learning programs assessing learner needs and performance Learners will have the opportunity to practise and develop their training and assessment skills in a supportive environment. They will engage in two-way feedback with facilitators and other learners to maximise the learning experience. Format One day workshops scheduled approximately 4-5 weeks apart. Assessment tasks are completed between sessions. We recommend learners set aside 10 15 hours/assessment. Qualification Rules This qualification is made up of 10 units of competency based on the qualification packaging rules, located at www.training.gov.au. Based on many years experience working with a wide range of organisations, ASC Training & Development have customised this qualification to reflect key training and assessing competencies. This unit looks at tailoring learning programs to suit different learners. In this unit the learner will: confirm the training and assessment needs of learners unpack the components of training packages and units of competency use training packages and accredited courses to meet the needs of learners contextualise learning materials and processes explore organisational training and assessment quality assurance policies and procedures Workshop 6 Monday 20 June 2016 Session 7 22 July 2016 TAEDEL401A Plan, organise and deliver group-based learning Success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure. Confucius Planning and preparation are essential to ensure effective learning. They are the foundation of the successful facilitation of a training session. This unit addresses the requirements of both the planning and delivery stages for effective group facilitation. In this unit the learner will: develop training session plans based on learning programs identify and cater for individual learner needs apply adult learning principles manage group dynamics and inappropriate behaviour prepare and use a range of resources select and use suitable delivery methods maintain and store learner records deliver a 40 minute training session, incorporating a learning activity and a variety of visual aids

Thomas Angelo Assessment in the vocational education and training (VET) sector is best considered holistically. The three assessor units address the critical processes of assessment. In these units the learner will: Plan What evidence needs to be collected? Where will the assessment take place? Who should be consulted? What standards need to be adhered to? Develop Create the various assessment instruments and the supporting documentation. Trial the process. Conduct Carry out the assessment. Ensure the process adheres to the principles of assessment. Give feedback to the candidate about the assessment decision and gather feedback on personal performance. Validate Evaluate the assessment instruments and tools to ensure they comply with the rules and standards of VET assessment. The penultimate session focuses on validating assessment tools and conducting a competency-based assessment process. Workshop 11 28 October 2016 The last workshop is devoted to the final assessment, which is the 30-40 minute group facilitation.
