Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE40110): Certificate IV Training and Assessment provides a great introduction to the world of Workplace Training and Assessing. It is a very comprehensive course, covering a wide range of topics. These include: planning assessment activities, designing and developing learning programs, providing work skill instruction, assessing competence and participating in assessment validation. Duration: We are currently offering Certificate IV Training and Assessment via online / distance learning only. Your enrolment period lasts 12 months.

2 Entry Requirements You must be able to use Microsoft Word, read, write and speak English proficiently. Aside from this, there are no other requirements. You will need a reliable computer / notebook with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. Apple Mac users must ensure they have Microsoft Office for Mac. All Assessment Workbooks must be submitted as a Word Document. You must also have access to an actual workplace and a qualified Trainer / Assessor to observe workplace projects. Students can also contact their trainer via telephone for additional assistance if required. Once received, Assessment Workbooks will be assessed and graded as Competent or Not Yet Competent. In the case of being graded as Not Yet Competent students will be provided with written feedback and be required to resubmit their workbook within the 12 month enrolment period. Several opportunities for re- assessment are provided to assist a student to gain a grade of Competent

3 Course assessment includes written tests, activities and practical observations. Jumbo Safety & Training provides appropriate learning support to all students through its training and assessment delivery, applying reasonable adjustment to training and assessment where learning difficulties are experienced by the student. Please discuss any learning difficulties you may have with Jumbo Safety & Training at the time of enrolment. Student Resources You will be provided with all of the required information and resources to complete this course in the form of the course Learner Guide and Assessment Workbook. This information is provided free of charge to enrolled students. Electronic versions will be ed to the address given at the time of enrolment no more than two weeks prior to commencement of an intensive course or immediately upon receipt of payment and enrolment information for online / distance learning courses. Please note that we do not supply hard copies of student resources. You may print copies for the purpose of your study if you wish. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer RPL is offered to all students at enrolment. RPL is a form of assessment that acknowledges skills and knowledge gained through previous formal training conducted by industry or education, work experience and or life experience. The main principle of RPL focusses on the outcomes of learning rather than when or where the learning occurred. If you believe that this may apply to you for any part of the course, then you should request an application kit during the enrolment process. RPL is available on request at the full face to face course fee. Pathways From The Qualification After achieving TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, candidates may undertake TAA50104 Diploma of Training and Assessment or may choose to undertake TAE70110 Vocational Graduate Certificate in Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice. Please note that Jumbo Safety & Training do not currently offer these courses.

4 Course Tuition Fees Fee Payment Breakdown The following course fees relate to this qualification: Online / Distance course = $600 Course Total Fee Amount Payable at The Time of Booking Balance Due Upon Course Commencement Special offers will be listed on our website. Cert IV TAE $600 $600 N/A In order to maintain compliance with AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards for Initial and Continuing Registration (Condition 5), Jumbo Safety & Training will not accept payment of more than $1000 from each individual student prior to the commencement of the course. The following additional fees may apply: Payment Options Fees can be paid using either of the following means: Continuation of enrolment once the initial 12 month enrolment has lapsed and a competent grade has not been attained is payable at $200 per month only if the student request an extension to the enrolment period. Debit / credit card via our secure online payment service. Funds transfer. Staged / Flexible Payments Re-issue of certificates / Statements of attainment. $50. 5 Cancellations and Refunds All intensive delivery course cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 14 days in advance of the course date to All cancellations made more than 14 days from the course date will incur a $100 administration fee per student. Cancellations made less than 14 days from the course date will result in the fees already paid being forfeited. If a student is unable to complete an intensive course due to illness or extenuating circumstances, negotiations will take place between the student and Jumbo Safety & Training as to re-enrolment on a course at a later date. This will be subject to availability and assessed on a case by case basis. Jumbo Safety & Training reserves the right to cancel courses in the event that the minimum required student numbers have not be met. In this event students will be offered a full refund and will not be subject to an administration fee or can enrol on a course to be held at a later date. The complaints and appeals policy of Jumbo Safety & Training provides an avenue for students to address their complaints and appeals to Jumbo Safety & Training management and have them dealt with in a constructive and timely manner.
