2014 Empire Fall Show General Information & Rules 1. Move in / Move Out: Standard move-in days are Monday and Tuesday between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm. Special arrangements can be made with show secretary Charlotte Jaynes for more-in outside of those hours or on Sunday after 5:00 pm (limited, with permission only). Horses must move out no later than 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22.. 2. No Reservation Without Payment: Flat Fee Deals, individual stall fees, camper fees and charges for shavings, feed and hay must be paid when submitting reservations. Without payment, NO stall reservations will be accepted. All prices on this form and all paybacks are in U.S. dollars. 3. Scratches. Any entry scratched from a class and NOT reported to the show office will be charged the class fee. 4. Stalls: Stalls will be labeled with stall card when you arrive. No transfer of stalls or change of occupancy may be made without the approval of the show management. Exhibitors will be charged for the use of ANY stall that is used for any purpose if you put anything in an empty stall you will be charged. Shavings, feed and hay will be available on the grounds contact the Show Office. All horses must have a stall no horse may be shown off a trailer. 5. Campers: Camper stickers will be given out at the show office and must be placed visibly in the window of your camper. Please take parking directions from the camper lot managers and see them if there are any problems. 6. Shavings: PLEASE PRE-ORDER YOUR SHAVINGS SO THAT THEY WILL BE IN YOUR STALLS WHEN YOU ARRIVE. IF YOU WAIT UNTIL YOU ARRIVE TO ORDER SHAVINGS YOU MAY HAVE TO WAIT AS PAID PRE-ORDERS WILL BE DELIVERED FIRST. 7. Barn Rules: Please keep aisle ways clear for horses & people. All manure must be disposed of in the bins provided by the fairgrounds or there will be a $100 fine assessed to the person involved. Any sharps used must be disposed of in the hazardous waste buckets that can be found in each barn. Please do not leave sharps in the stalls or put them in trash cans this poses a danger to the barn cleaners. All AQHA rules regarding humane treatment of horses must be followed. 8. Refunds: No refunds except with a vet certificate, which must have a current date and be signed by a licensed veterinarian. 9. Splitting Classes: Novice flat classes will be split if there are more than 16 entries in the class. All other flat classes will be split if there are more than 20 entries in the class. For Hunter Hack classes that are over these numbers, the fences portion will be held and the top entries will come back for the flat portion. 10. Checks: There will be an NSF charge of $50 for all checks which are returned for Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF). Checks will be deposited upon receipt. Checks should be made payable to ESQHA. All checks must be payable in U.S. Funds. 11. Class Schedule: Show management reserves the right to change the order of classes before or during the show. Show management also reserves the right to add or vary the list of Officials, if necessary, according to AQHA rules. 12. Coliseum Schooling & Longing: No Longing in the Coliseum. The Coliseum and Dairy Barn schooling schedules are listed in the class program. Longing areas will be available in the ring behind the Main Barn, in the area behind the Swine and Goat barn, in the 4-H arenas and in the Dairy Barn arena after Trail. 13. Small Fry Classes: Open to exhibitors 11 years of age and younger walk-trot only. 14. Leadline: Open to exhibitors 7 years of age and younger. 15. Circuit Awards: All circuit awards or other awards given out must be claimed at the horse show. No awards will be shipped. 16. Health Requirements: A New York State Veterinarian will be in attendance at the horse show. All horses must meet the following health requirements. New York horses must present a negative Coggins test dated during the current year or the previous year. Horses stabled outside New York must present a negative Coggins test dated within 12 months and a health certificate dated within 30 days of your arrival. All horses must show a current Rabies inoculation certificate. 17. Prize Money & Payback Rules: Cash prizes in AQHA classes will be based on the combined scores of all class judges. Money will only be paid if there are five or more horses in a class. No money will be paid if there are less than 5 horses entered in a class. Money will be paid as follows: For $1,000 classes, 1st $500, 2nd $250, 3rd $150, 4th $100. For $500 classes, 1st $200, 2nd $150, 3rd $100, 4th $50. For $300 classes, 1st $100, 2nd $80, 3rd $65, 4th $55. For $200 classes, 1st $75, 2nd $60, 3rd $50, 4th $15. Prize money checks will be mailed within 30 days after the show, provided that all of the exhibitor s checks for entry payments, stalls & campers have cleared the bank. Any money owed to ESQHA or The Empire Fall Show for any reason will be deducted from the purse money paid out. 18. Ties: The judge whose last name (and then first name) is first in the alphabet will be the tie-breaker judge. The second tie-breaker judge will be the judge whose last name (and then first name) is second in the alphabet.
