1 RouseABOUT Graphics Seminar 2008 Summer Session A RouseABOUT Graphics Seminar is an advanced course in Rouse Balloon Graphics. Just as in a language immersion weekend, we will eat, sleep and breathe RMS Balloon Graphics. The course begins with RMS basics. Each succeeding class builds on the skills learned in the previous class. Both beginners and balloon professionals are invited to attend this in depth course. The course will include: RMS 2D Balloon Sculpture (pre-formed and original with RMS frameworks, skills training and hands-on practice RMS Single Layer Graphics skills training and hands-on practice to include signs, logos, backdrops and banners RMS Speed Graphics skills training and hands-on practice with LOL s RMS Foil Balloon Graphics skills training and hands-on practice with 9 /18 foils RMS 3D Balloon Sculpture basic skills training and hands-on practice RMS Rigging and Installation skills training and hands-on practice New! 4 RouseABOUT 2008 Graphics Seminar Summer Session Airline Reservations Please book your airline reservations to Greenville, SC International Airport (GSP) Please schedule your incoming flight to arrive in time for the RouseABOUT 2008 Summer Seminar "Opening Session" at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20.. If you are interested in a share ride arranged by Rouse International, please schedule your flight to arrive in Greenville no later than 3:00 p.m. The share ride will leave the airport at 4:00 p.m. The cost of the share ride depends on the number of passengers. If there are 13 reservations, the cost will be around $35 each. If there are fewer people, the cost will be higher according to the number of riders. Please schedule your departing flight on Thursday, July 24, after 2:00 p.m. The share ride will leave the Ramada Hotel at 12:00 noon. Again, the cost depends upon the number of reservations. JUST TO LET YOU KNOW: There will be a public balloon exhibit (of our work) after the RouseABOUT Seminar on Thursday afternoon, July 24. If you would like to stay over to help and play, please feel free to do so. After the Exhibit ends at 5:30 p.m., we will strike and then go to the Rouses to kick back, soak in the spa, and relax. Mary Queen will take you on a tour of an antebellum home and Clemson University on Friday morning. Please schedule your departing flight after 2:00 p.m., on Friday. Airline tickets, ground transportation costs and hotel arrangements are the responsibility of each attendee. There is an indoor swimming pool and the Rouses have a small spa, so bring your bathing suit, OK? There is a restaurant, drug store, etc., all within easy walking distance. You will be in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just a few miles from the famous Clemson University, home of the Clemson Tigers, the Rouse House and Studio.
