The new version was brought online in early March 2015. Automatic saves are faster, security is enhanced and new functionalities have been added, including: - VSS back-ups, which save files that are reserved or blocked by their application (such as when those files are open), so long as the application accepts the VSS process (namely EBP software, Outlook messaging and Microsoft Office); - improved collaborative management of shared files: files blocked for other users during updates, possibility to interact with blocked files (in read-only mode, notification sent to the user making the updates, or forced unblocking of the file), with optional e-mail notification when updates are made to a shared file; - data deleted from the Nomad Vault window are placed in the recycling bin.
