6 Sticky Password 7 - Quick How To Guide Windows Installation The installation is fast, straightforward and safe. Accepting the License Agreement for Sticky Password 7 is the only step, which is not predetermined and has to be accepted by user to continue. Other steps of installation are preset and make the installation process very smooth. Configuration First launch of Sticky Password is essential for correct setup of the program and its subsequent functionality. StickyAccount To be able to synchronize data between devices on various platforms you needs to create an online account.

7 StickyID address, which serves as a login name into your StickyAccount. StickyPass Password, which will give you access to your StickyAccount. It s not a Master Password (will be created in next step). Skipping this step results in a 30-day Sticky Password Desktop trial version and therefore no online synchronization! Master Password Master Password grants you access to your encrypted database. For increased security it must contain at least 8 characters, one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter and one numeric character.

8 Browser integration Select which browsers you want to use with Sticky Password (autofill support). This selection will also import any passwords and logins if you stored them in your browsers up to this point. Unlock You will see this dialog frequently. This is the key place where you unlock your Sticky Password database by entering the unique Master Password known only to you.

The main user interface All your data stored in Sticky Password can be managed from here. But for daily tasks there is no need to go here as the product integrates into your routines while working online or with applications.

10 Synchronization The encrypted database is by default synchronized to the cloud after being unlocked and then every 5 minutes. The footer of the main user interface provides the information about the synchronization status. Note that you need to be connected to your StickyAccount in order for the synchronization to work. If you haven t created your StickyAccount during the configuration you can do so anytime by clicking the button on the left side of the footer. Notification area and browser caption button Sticky does not install any toolbar to the browser. It lives in the Notification area in the lower right corner of the desktop or as a Caption button in a supported browser or application in the top right corner. Both examples are below: Sticky Password is unlocked when the icon in the Notification area is in full color, otherwise it s locked and the icon is gray. In this case you have to unlock it using your Master Password. Sticky Password can be set to be automatically locked after a specific time period. Web Accounts New account and automated login Adding Web Accounts is automatic. Just login to your website as usual by entering username (login) and password and click Sign in (Login). Sticky Password will ask if you want to save the login you just entered. On subsequent visits, Sticky Password will fill in the same username and password and log you in automatically. Alternatively, Caption button enables you to choose from saved accounts to open and log into chosen one directly.

11 Application login Sticky Password also works with popular applications. Start the app you want to add and click Sticky Password Button in the app s caption area and select Add Account. Enter your login and password. Review the information and click Add New Account. Next time Sticky Password will log you into the app automatically. Password generator While creating new password or changing old one, password generator will help you to generate long and complex password that will be automatically saved to Sticky Password. It is there for you whenever you need it - appears in the registration form within the password field

12 Form-filling Adding Identities helps you to automatically fill out long online forms. Simply fill in registration form on any website and submit it. You will be asked to save new identity by Sticky Password. Click Add New Identity and now Sticky Password can fill in web forms for you. 13 Mobile devices Sticky Password for mobile devices brings the password management experience onto the Android and ios mobile operating systems. It can be used as a fully functional standalone password management application as well as a complementary utility to user s desktop installation giving him/ her the ability to manage and access sensitive data when on the move. We try to keep the user experience as similar as possible across all the platforms. Still there are some differences as the mobile devices and mobile operating systems are specific and have some limitations compared to desktop computers. The usage of the mobile Sticky Password, compared to the desktop version, has the following specifics: Login and password can be automatically filled in user s websites only using our embedded Sticky Browser. On Android only - fill login and password into 3rd party browsers and also applications using our unique Sticky Floating Window.

14 Set preferences when and how the user wants to synchronize the database. For example only when a WiFi network is available, during start of the application or manually only (Auto Synch On Launch setting ON or OFF). PIN code in addition to the Master Password can be created, so as to speed up unlocking of the database. In such a way the user doesn t have to enter the complex Master Password each time the phone switches to sleep mode or the Sticky Password application goes to the background and locks itself so as to keep the data secure.
