(FAMU-NAA) is to promote ongoing active interest in and support of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. The FAMU-NAA promotes united action on behalf of and for the general welfare of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University as an educational institution of higher learning focused on developing the head, heart, hand and field of its students. With over 60 chapters located throughout the country, FAMU-NAA has provided over $1 million in scholarships and other financial support to FAMU. This year marks FAMU s 125 th anniversary and is a time to renew and reignite a passion for the historic university. About Florida A&M University National Alumni Association FAMU is the nation s number one producer of African Americans with baccalaureate degrees and has received national recognition for its commitment to education, being named by Black Enterprise Magazine as the 2006 Top College for African-American Students and as the 1997 Time Magazine/Princeton Review College of the Year.
