GENE.IPOT.IEFING. - rriving FT: Only the following designated exits will be illuminated for FT to vacate: WY 4 via HST, E or link, WY 06 via HST J or link J via holding position J at the end WY..3.. T VP due ceiling (V 600m or greater and ceiling 00' or less) - WY 4/4 dual WY operation or WY 06 single WY operation. ll available WY exits associated with either WY 4 or WY 06 will be illuminated. cft may vacate at any these exits. 4/4 dual WY operation will require departing FT to "hold short" WY 4 at the following T III holding points as instructed, H, G, F or. Pilots are required to read back all T "hold short" instructions. - Ground Movement adar (GM) is normally available to monitor pilot "WY vacated" reports. When GM is not available WY O Sensitive rea (S) vacation will be assessed by receipt a pilot report that the FT has passed the last alternate yellow and green centerline lights. These lights denote the extent the IS S. - WY 4, link J: Taxiing FT must follow the Northern lighted TWY centerline. - Pilots will be informed the relevant procedure that is in operation by rrival and eparture TIS or by TF. - When VP are in force the appropriate landing rates that can be expected are: V(m) etween 000m and 600m etween 600m and 400m ess than 400m Expected anding ate TXI POEUES WY 06/4 has a turning circle at the Northeastern end, EM ink J, for use by FT up to 4. WY 06/4 has two turning circles: - t 80m from WY 4 threshold for use by FT up to 6; - t 58m from WY 4 threshold for use by FT up to 4. ll turning circles have unlit painted centerline and blue edge lighting beyond WY edges. FT should follow the painted centerline in a clockwise direction, unless directed otherwise by T. Jet FT are to engage minimum power when using TWYs, and due to the proximity light FT ops in this area. TWY K may be used as TWY for FT up to 98000lbs MTW (-5 size). Pilots long-wheelbase FT such as -300 and should exercise caution when negotiating TWY curves and intersections as main-gear to pavement edge clearance may be limited. Pilots ars reminded the need to excercise caution on wingtip clearances from other FT when manoeuvring in close proximity on the ground. Particular care should be taken in the WY holding areas and at WY crossing points. WY 06/4: The hard shoulders outboard the WY side stripes have only 5% the WY bearing strengths and should not be used by FT turning on the WY or when backtracking. The grass verges are unstrengthened and when wet unlikely to sustain loads. FT using TWY are to use minimum power. FT are prohibited from using this TWY. Minimum power to be used by outbound FT using TWY between holding point EM stand 3 (Pier ). HNGES: T VP. Taxi procedures. SNESON, IN., 004, 006. IGHTS ESEVE., UK 0 OT 06 0-P. GENE Unless otherwise authorized by T FT using the IS shall not descend below 000' before intercepting GS, nor thereafter fly below it. FT approaching without IS or radar assistance follow a descent path which will not result in its being at any time lower than the approach path which would be followed by an FT using the IS GS. For visual approaches, or following a visual circuit, to WY 4/ the following additional limitations apply: - Jet FT shall not join the final approach at a height less than 60'. - Propeller driven FT whose MTW exceeds 500kg shall not join the final approach at a distance less than 3NM from the landing TH and at a height less than 60'. Turbo-jet and turbo-prop FT approaching PT will be expected to conform low power, low drag approach procedures (refer to item.6..).... NIGHTTIME ESTITIONS etween T, visual approaches are not permitted. FT shall be positioned, by radar, to join the final PP at a distance not less than NM from touchdown. This restriction does not apply to non jet FT whose MTW is 500kg or less...3. ONTINUOUS ESENT PPOH For FT to all WYs at PT between T: Headings and flight levels/altitudes by T. FT will be radar vectored. n estimate track distance to touchdown will be passed with descent clearance. Further distance information will be given between descent clearance and the intercept heading to the IS O. On receipt descent clearance descend at the rate best suited to a continuous descent so as to join the GS at the appropriate height for the distance without the recourse to level flight. ecommended speeds: - 0 KT during approach phase; - 60 KT - 80 KT on, or shortly before the closing heading to IS O; - 60 KT when established on the IS O to 4 ME. T may request specific speeds for accurate spacing, comply with any speed adjustment as promptly as feasible with operational constraints. If a speed change for FT performance is necessary, advise T. EVESE THUST To minimize disturbance in areas adjacent to the PT crew are requested to avoid the use reverse thrust after landing, consistent with the safe operation the FT, especially between T..3. T II/III OPETIONS WY 4 is approved for T II/III operations & WY 06 for T II (T & FT only) and T III operations, special aircrew & a FT certification required..4. UNWY OPETIONS.4.. MINIMUM WY OUPNY TIME Pilots are reminded that rapid exits from the landing WY enable T to apply minimum spacing on final approach that will achieve maximum WY utilisation and will minimise the occurrence "go-arounds". WY 06 arrivals: ll FT must vacate the WY no later than V and proceed direct to TWY V. FT remaining on the WY to vacate at V or T will infringe the IS O critical area. Similarly TWY S is not to be used. WY 4 arrivals: TWYs F and are not available as WY exits..4.. USE OF WYs FO NING.4... "and after" Procedure Normally, only one FT is permitted to land or take-f on the WY-in-use at any one time. However, when the traffic sequence is two successive landing FT, the second one may be allowed to land before the first one has cleared the WY-in-use, providing: - The WY is long enough; - it is during YIGHT hours; - the second FT will be able to see the first FT clearly and continuously until it is clear the WY; - the second FT has been warned. T will provide this warning by issuing the second FT with the instruction "and after... (first FT type)" in place the usual instruction "leared to land". esponsibility for ensuring adequate separation between the two FT rests with the pilot the second FT Special anding Procedures Special landing procedures may be in force in conditions shown hereunder, when the use will be as follows: - When the WY-in-use is temporarily occupied by other traffic, landing clearance will be issued to an arriving FT provided that at the time the FT crosses the TH the WY-in-use the following separation distances will exist: - anding following departure - The departing FT will be airborne and at least 000m/.NM from the landing TH the WY-in-use, or if not airborne, will be at least 400m/.3NM from the landing TH the WY-in-use. - educed separation distances as follows will be used where both the preceeding and succeeding landing FT or both the landing and departing FT are propeller driven and have a maximum total weight authorized not exceeding 500kg: - anding following departure - The departing FT will be airborne and at least 500m/0.8NM from the landing TH, or if not airborne, will be at least 500m/0.8NM from the landing TH. The reduced distances do not apply to those jets which are 500kg MTW or less. HNGES: Text moved. SNESON, IN., 004, 006. IGHTS ESEVE., UK 0 OT 06 0-P4.Eff.6.Oct..
