2 President s Scholarship MASKED Gala 12th annual Mankind Assisting Students Kindle Educational Dreams Masked Gala Information The 12th Annual President's Scholarship Masked Gala is one of Austin s signature fundraising galas and premier social events. Founded 12 years ago by name, the Gala is hosted by local corporate sponsors. Its purpose is to involve celebrities, dignitaries, civic leaders, volunteers, public officials and other supporters in the President's Scholarship for Huston-Tillotson University. Please help support our deserving young students. HOW Corporations and community groups are invited to support the fundraising event with the purchase of sponsor packages ranging from $2,500-$150,000. Sponsor package benefits include sponsor tables for your guests and recognition at the event and in related promotional materials. 5 Call for Nominations Tower of Light Community Service Award Submission deadline Thursday, December 4, 2014 Winner will be recognized at the Masked Gala on Saturday, March 7, 2015 The Tower of Light Award is in recognition of individuals, corporations, and/or organizations that are a guiding support to the University and young people pursuing the dream of a college degree. This award is presented in recognition of community contributions, service, civic engagement, leadership efforts, mentoring initiatives, and career contributions. HT Mission As an historically black institution, Huston-Tillotson University s mission is to provide opportunities to a diverse population for academic achievement with an emphasis on academic excellence, spiritual and ethical development, civic engagement, and leadership in a nurturing environment. HT Vision Huston-Tillotson University will be a leader in the education of diverse populations. We will empower students for success in a global society as critical thinkers, lifelong learners, and ethical citizens. Criteria Individuals, corporations, and/or organizations with ties to Central Texas, that are supportive of the mission of Huston-Tillotson University, that have made contributions to the area of higher education and have demonstrated a commitment to higher education and the opportunities that it affords.
