2 Authenticatin methds These user authenticatin methds will grant users access t the lynda.cm website, mbile site, ios app, and Andrid app: Internet Prtcl (IP) address authenticatin allws yur users t access lynda.cm frm yur rganizatin s static, public-facing IP address range. verificatin allws yur users t create a lynda.cm accunt using an rganizatin-prvided address with a specific dmain. Single sign-n (SSO) authenticatin allws users t access multiple authrized resurces with ne set f authenticatin credentials. We supprt SSO using bth Security Assertin Markup Language (SAML) 2.0 and Central Authenticatin Service (CAS). Learning management system integratin methds lynda.cm supprts tw learning management system (LMS) integratin methds: Aviatin Industry CBT Cmmittee (AICC) standard Learning Tls Interperability (LTI) standard Because lynda.cm membership allws fr access t ur library and features that supprt learning, the AICC and LTI standards allw activity n the lynda.cm website t be tracked and reprted back t yur LMS. Other standards, such as Sharable Cntent Object Reference Mdel (SCORM), require cntent t be packaged individually and hsted n an LMS, and d nt supprt access t a full curse library, such as the ne available n lynda.cm. Mst LMSs adhere t AICC r LTI standards fr integratin t supprt access t subscriptin services like lynda.cm. AICC standard lynda.cm can cmmunicate with yur AICC-cmpliant LMS s users can easily access the mst up-t-date lynda.cm curses and share user curse prgress infrmatin with yur LMS. Thrugh a simple dwnlad interface, yur rganizatin can dwnlad a set f curse structure files fr any lynda.cm curse cntent. The curse structure files cntain metadata fr the curse, including a curse descriptin, authr, versin, curse creatin date, curse structure, and parameters fr launching the cntent ver the web. Once the curse structure files are imprted int yur LMS, users will see the lynda.cm curse details in yur catalg. 2

3 When a user requests a lynda.cm curse frm yur LMS, a separate brwser windw will pen and the curse will be launched frm the lynda.cm website. After the user lgs in t lynda.cm, yur LMS passes infrmatin t us abut the user, such as prfile infrmatin and bkmarks. When the user begins watching a curse, we cmmunicate t yur LMS that the curse has been started. Once the user finishes the curse and clses the brwser windw, this learning sessin ends and lynda.cm will prvide yur LMS with results infrmatin, which includes cmpletin status. If the user ends the learning sessin but has nt cmpleted the curse, we will remember the user s prgress and the user can pick up where he r she left ff when returning t the curse frm yur LMS. LTI standard lynda.cm ffers supprt fr LTI 1.0 (als knwn as Basic LTI). If yu have an LMS with the LTI 1.0 standard, cntact yur Training Slutins Advisr t get mre infrmatin.
