Prvide a frum fr MIP Studies Users t ask questins and raise cncerns t their peers as well as address challenges arund the wrk studies Updates: Guidance fr Submitting a MIP Help Ticket: It has cme t ur attentin that sme users are experiencing issues with generating a MIP Help Ticket. After submitting an t MIP Help, sme users are nt receiving an autmated respnse frm MIP Help with a ticket number. If yu d nt receive an autmated generated frm MIP Help it is mst likely that a ticket was nt generated frm yur request. If yu did receive an autmated generated with a ticket number, then yur MIP Help Ticket was successfully submitted After ding sme initial research we have fund that image files within the such as in an signature result in the being determined as spam and thus des nt generate a MIP Help ticket successfully We are cntinuing t lk int this matter and will reprt back t all f yu nce we have cme t a reslutin. In the meantime if this issue ccurs with any f yur mapping partners please have them fllw the MIP Help Escalatin Plan lcated under MIP User Care. The MIP Help Escalatin can be accessed here: New CDS Develpment Prjects FEMA has recently apprved several prjects fr the Risk MAP Custmer and Data Services team t deliver. There are fur develpment prjects that are scheduled t be deplyed in the next six mnths, sme f which affect the MIP directly. *Please nte that the fllwing prjects are in the initial planning stages and release dates and prject scpes may be subject t change 1. Authritative Surce fr Preliminary Fld map Data Currently, cmmunities must use their PTS website t access preliminary data and data is nt displayed in a cnsistent manner acrss the cuntry This prject will prmte data accessibility and usability by prviding lcal cmmunities a methd t navigate t ne cnsistent lcatin t access preliminary data and view preliminary maps. The data will be accessible t the public thrugh the Map Service Center website prduct catalg Changes t the MIP t create this linkage Prduce Preliminary Map Prduct Activity 2. Hazus Digital Dwnlad

2 Currently, Hazus users rder Hazus n a CD frm the Map Service Center (MSC) and the CDs are mailed t users The new Hazus Digital Dwnlad prject will allw the public t dwnlad this free sftware, rather than requesting a disc frm the MSC By making Hazus dwnladable, FEMA will save resurces and the user will have access t the sftware quickly. 3. RASPLOT Upgrade and Enhancements Desktp applicatin; RASPLOT is a tl used t generate fld prfiles and pulls frm HECRAS Was last updated in 2009 FEMA has received cnsiderable user feedback n necessary imprvements This release includes updates: Autmated generatin f the FIS reprt Fldway Data Tables and Fld Prfiles Imprt/Exprt fr FIRM database; it will allw imprt and exprt t and frm the FIRM Database PDF Generatin Tl will streamline the cnversin prcess frm.dxf t.pdf Enhanced editing tls Cmpatibility with windws 7 perating system Imprve user interface Cmpatibility with new HECRAS versin 4. MIP Release 4.1 SP05 - Online LOMC MT-2s Online LOMC launched December 15, Yu can submit a LOMA request nline at Phase-in capabilities t nline LOMC This release will add LOMR and CLOMR capabilities t the Online LOMC Applicants will be able t use Online LOMC rather than submitting the paper MT-2 frm Will als add the payment functinality and all CLOMA, LOMR-F, CLOMR-F The CDS Team will update the grup n future MIP Studies Users calls nce mre details are wrked ut n these prjects.

As f right nw, MT-1 des nt incrprate a tl t check fr quality f the dcuments The eloma is a web-based applicatin within the Mapping Infrmatin Platfrm (MIP) that prvides licensed land surveyrs and prfessinal engineers (Licensed Prfessinals) with a system t submit simple LOMA requests t FEMA. This tl is designed t make a determinatin based n the infrmatin submitted by the Licensed Prfessinal and allw them t generate a determinatin frm FEMA in minutes. The initial release f eloma will enable Licensed Prfessinals t make requests fr existing single residential structures r prperties, prvided n fill has been placed t raise the elevatins f the structure r prperty. Apprximately half f the LOMAs prcessed annually (abut 10,000 cases) meet the requirements f eloma. Fr mre infrmatin n the eloma, visit the eloma website The Online LOMC tl is available t any applicant wh wuld like t submit a LOMA request directly t FEMA, and des nt require a surveyr r engineer t submit.
